It's Linux and what looks like one of those tiling WMs
Personally, I prefer KDE and my compositing bells and whistles (1.8MB WebM, 1600x1200)

Pardon this long post, but it'll explain several things while looking like a pompous elitist. :v:
1)
It's Linux and what looks like one of those tiling WMs
What he said. And more specifically, herbstluftwm on Void Linux. Some people like bspwm over hlwm. I classify those heathens as bad as Arch with Cinnamon users because I totally haven't seen your generic Numix desktop for the billionth time or your totally clashing styles.
2) $SHELL is the MirBSD Korn shell. I'm more fond of the ksh than bash. It's the POSIX shell and it's enough for what I need and I do not need to deal with the bloat especially zsh and fish bring to the table. At least I'm not using rc.
3) I split my text editing into separate tools rather than get out a Swiss army knife just to whittle a wrench. ed does the bulk sculpting because it's nice, minimalist, and is the standard text editor. vim is more for fine-tuning and precision, but I'd be tempted to just go back to vi. Acme used to be nice but then I got my new trackball and it doesn't have a mouse2 button/middle click. And then there would be chaos if any Plan 9 fanboys found out because I descrated their text editor on dirty Linux. At least we still have mainstream development going on. 9front doesn't count.
4)
$ ed
e !toilet -f future --gay "Dastardly Plans"

MISC in no particular order so it's a rant) VimFx is a must-have for me. `bitch2` is an on-going panel project. "Bar Inclusions That Commonly Happen". Protip: Just paint XBMs in The GIMP rather than manually entering a Netpbm and converting it ala ImageMagick. It won't convert right. I would honestly give up and live in the TTY if I didn't need to doodle in MyPaint and browse on a forcibly media-centric web. Screw your X, screw your Wayland and especially screw your Mir!. troff > LaTeX. Bring back gopher!

We also had that guy from Blinkenshell a while back here, but I can't find him or his scrot in this thread.

I like how the mountains between the screens align perfectly.

in case you're wondering, it's two 1080p screens at different elevations/sizes, so it looks alright in person
