Also, I think the background color was closer to teal than blue but you're definitely on the right track
My shitty netbook with it's shitty resolution and shitty colourscheme. [editline]4th March 2015[/editline] Also anyone know if I can underclock this thing 1MHz?
I have 2 netbooks with the same specs as yours, except each has only a gig of dedotated wam. Seriously, old Atoms were so horribly underpowered and I to this day do not understand how they could have possibly been released without someone saying,"This thing is too bloody SLOW and too bloody UNDERPOWERED to do anything!"

I basically only use this for school work, as in LibreOffice and Firefox.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/HWO74mo.png[/t] I set up Linux on my old laptop. I haven't really used Linux since like '07 so it was a bit of pain to get working. Temp monitor is there for practical reasons, cooling on that particular laptop is abysmal. Works much, much better than XP so far though. Distro is Antergos if you couldn't figure it out from partition names.
Okay [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/147499410/screenies/2015-03-09_00-30-58.png[/t] Did I go a little too far back in time?
I don't know, but I definitely did. With a messy desktop, too. (I had to shop the start button in, because print screen doesn't like Classic Shell) [t]http://i.imgur.com/mgoQqrV.png[/t] Personally, I think some of the Aero stuff clashes with the 95 look. But this is as close as I could get it to be. I like to think of it as the applications icons evolving, while the operating system stayed the same. Am I the only one who would buy a version of Windows that would just be Windows 95 with updated APIs called "Windows Classic Edition" or something? I'm also switching to Linux soon, this will be the game slave.
[t]http://a.pomf.se/mywzlv.png[/t] This has gotta be the cleanest look I've had for my desktop, like, ever. :v:
[t]http://a.pomf.se/mywzlv.png[/t] This has gotta be the cleanest look I've had for my desktop, like, ever. :v:
Seriously loving the consistant style in the widgets/desktop background and the range of color, looks really good. heres mine Feels p. empty, not sure what to add.
I only just started messing with conky and have no idea what I wanna actually do with it so I'm keeping it stupid simple right now. Some of you guys have such nice looking setups. [thumb]http://puu.sh/gBwG3/92489c14e7.png[/thumb] If music is playing. [thumb]http://puu.sh/gBwYV/06ee411145.png[/thumb]
My desktop as of now. Any suggestions? I'd like to fill it up but keeping it simple. [t]http://i.imgur.com/FYTF4Bb.png[/t]

[t]http://i.imgur.com/W7H8M8X.jpg[/t] Customised it with XFCE after my Ubuntu installation with gnome crashed. Nice and clean :)
idk what's with the obsession with widgets
I keep mine in a separate "dashboard" I call up with Ctrl+F12 [t]http://jesusfuck.me/di/NGYQ/dashboard.png[/t] I think OS X works on a similar idea
[T]http://jesusfuck.me/di/QS0P/desktop.jpg[/T] Simple is best, right?..
[T]http://jesusfuck.me/di/QS0P/desktop.jpg[/T] Simple is best, right?..
Don't see much simple in it, though.
[T]http://jesusfuck.me/di/QS0P/desktop.jpg[/T] Simple is best, right?..
Here's simple for ya [T]http://kittehcat.org/upl/2015-03-17_13-59-34.png[/T]
Don't see much simple in it, though.
Well, it's only default icons on desktop + wallpaper. Ofc more simple would be no wallpaper and no icons but that would be counter-productive. And what's counter-productive is either dumb or 'fashionable'.

I find it equally as productive, but more cleaner.
