Yes it is possible.
A 256MHz CPU with 1GB of RAM? What mobo would support that?
Bet you cant run Crysis LoL Just get a new PC and keep the case so you can build a new one from the ground up
hurrdurr crysis lolololo that's soo funny and orginal hurrdurr :downs:
yeah op if you have 250 you can get a good pc
Hopeless cause. http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=10547205 400 bux
Put it in an alienware/NZXT case and sell it as the PWN1N80R FATAL1TY GAYMEN 9000. And then profit.
Durr, I won't buy a PC from the US, you idiots, I will buy it from sweden. There are good gaming pc's here for ~100 bux or less, which pretty much will run Crysis on medium.

Also, you never said you were Swedish.
Hmm. I thought I did. Also, no, our currency is not fucked up A good gaming PC is still 100 bux here.
100 Kronor is about 15 USD, I don't know what you're smoking, but you can't even buy a USB hub for that price. Forget an entire computer.
I bought a 4-slot USBhub for less then that price...
But it was probably usb 1.0.
You need a new CPU, therefore you need a new mobo. It won't support your old gpu so you have to buy a new gpu and a new psu to get enough power for it. A new harddrive wouldn't hurt too. And more RAM. You can reuse the case and DVD(CD?) drive.
Overclock it a whole 20MHz
I bought a 4-slot USBhub for less then that price...
I was exaggerating. You're not going to be able to buy a computer for 15 USD, 100 Kroner, or whatever currency you like to pull out of your ass.
Excuse me for knowing where to get PC's cheap.
15$ Cheap?
Yesh.
Hell, the cheapest we can get here can run Word 98 and IE 4. Maxed out, of course.
I have the following specs on my desktop PC: 256 MHz Processor

It was bougt 7 years ago with those specs. Only upgrade once, when the HDD crashed. More if a repair, actually.
CPUs haven't been that slow for more than 10 years.
Listen here: Take your mind off this other rabble. Only way to have a reasonable PC that will do what ever you want Play games..browse.......is to get a new one.. Here is a cheap PC which should be alright for whatever you want to do..and ill think youll find you be quite amazed at it if what you have there is true. Motherboard:: Asus P5Q P45 - Uses socket 775(will do the job) CPU:: Intel E8600 running at 3.3 GHz (dual Core) or Intel Q9550 (Quad Core - Does wonders for me :D) RAM:: Go For Kingston or Corsair - 800Mhz should do nicely Graphics Card:: I personally prefer Nvidia cards but its up to you between nVidia and ATI.. somewhere along the lines of a 9800GT or equivalent should do Power Supply: 650 or higher should do. Case:: Get a new one You could say all this to a professional computer builder and he should hook you up Hope this helps ya
Intel/Nvidia fanboy. Aside from the i7 950/965/975 and GTX 275/280, AMD's products are better.
Wow... This guy is an obvious troll, he is saying he bought a computer for 100 whateverthefuckthatis money, which equals $15 USD. And then he is trying to say he has nearly a gig of ram, and a sub 500 MHz processor.

I said the PC I have is 6-7 years old, I have no idead what it costed, it has the specs told in the OP, I got it off my granddad. Then I say I can buy a decent gaming PC for about 3-400 dollars, not 3-400 crowns. Plus 3-400 crowns = ~60 dollars. 3-400 dollars i about 4000 crowns.

I keep messing up the numbers, but at a total (just to let the thread die) you can buy a good gaming PC for ~3-400 dollars.
You can buy a good office PC for 300-400 dollars.
I would laugh... but I'm running something pretty close... :frown:
Upgrade nothing. Your PC is fine. What the fuck is so wrong with it? It will run Crysis on high settings with 50 fps! Obviously you have a virus that makes it start up slow. I would suggest instead of upgrading buy a shitload of games for it if it can run Crysis maxed out. lol, trolled
