Also, for Canada: Solo Mobile
I'm using telus with my AT&T unlocked iPhone for 2 weeks now the Internet and service area is pretty good. But only 3G is available if 3G isn't available there isn't any service. Unlike with Rogers witch has a backing of the edge network
My iphone pretty much only has edge where i live
I have AT&T, and in rural areas, I get awesome 3G performance. In the city of Chicago, I'm normally bumped down into EDGE, or no fucking signal at all.
Does anyone here have the microcell?
Does anyone here have the microcell?
what?
Sprint customer here: I've never had an issue. I've even got to keep my phone number based in Oregon, and haven't payed tax on my phone bill. :buddy: Have had a few issues with phones but it wasn't sprints fault, plus I would take them to the sprint store and get replacements then and there.
The microcell it this thing that you hook up in your house that acts like a mini cell tower
You didn't put the Nexus One for AT&T
They actually dropped it in favor of the Captivate. [editline]11:48AM[/editline] And I love sprint, the coverage in Los Angeles is great.
There is great reception everywhere in Denmark, and it's pretty cheap to own a phone here, and you can find special deals for your needs at almost all stores :iia:
UK users type giffgaff into google. Amazing stuff.
Hey guys since we're on the topic of cell phones, where can i download java apps for my razr?
Hey guys since we're on the topic of cell phones, where can i download java apps for my razr?
Getjar.com I believe. That's what I used on my Razr v3. Couldn't run many of them though. With Verizon, you pay dearly for it. But they have amazing coverage. You can be in the middle of nowhere and still get acceptable 3G service. 500 kb/s is pretty typical even with full signal, due to our lack of fiber optic cables (almost EVERY tower is connected through a microwave dish). If you get a tower with a fiber optic line.... :science:1.4 Mb/s fuck yeah. In the US, we get rammed hard for pricing.
Add this to Verizon cons: Their 'Unlimited' data plan is only up to 5GB. Then they charge an exorbitant amount per MB. Even with an Unlimited Data plan for a smartphone, you have to add $15/mo for tethering rights.

You won't get charged extra for going over. Its just that if you go over 5 GB often, you run the risk of them getting pissed off and start watching your account more closely to see if your tethering unofficially. Your thinking of the tethering plan. Of course, if you have an Android phone, just root and use wireless tether.
Metro PCs xD
AT&T here with an LG Xenon. Added number onto my dad's phone bill... Even though I'm pretty limited, it's still better then what I had before from AT&T. The pay as you go plan is horrible. 1$ daily usage fees, 20 cents a text, and god forbid if I had a long conversation. My money flew out faster then a cat who had cold water dumped on it. Not to mention, if you're going to go with a pay as you go plan... Never pick an "expensive" phone. I had a Razr. It sucked. Cost way too much. Software was buggy as hell. But everything is a lot better. We had switched from Verizon because of, well, one of it's listed cons, horrible customer service. My best friend uses Virgin Mobile... Which I heard is quite affordable phone wise, because she has... A bad tendency to obliterate her phones. Or they break themselves. Through her life, I think she's broken about.... 20 phones at the very least? TL;DR: AT&T is cool, not the Pay as you Go, Verizon is balls support, Virgin Mobile = affordable phones.
I have the same phone, and I'm having a couple of issues with it. The screen has a bubble in it and it flickers constantly - does yours? Otherwise, it's a pretty sound little phone. Wish it had a 3.5mm jack though
The screen has a bubble in it? i've never heard of that happening before
