Thanks guys, I think I'll go with the 5870. It has almost identical performance to the 295 minus $ 83 AUD and ms. Plus, I probably won't have to upgrade my PSU. Can anyone tell me the minimum amps required on the +12V rail?
What's wrong with the Q8___s?
they're shit pretty much only for prebuilts so they can advertise having a quad to people who don't know better
I don't see how.. http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=3559&p=10 Seems to be at least on par with all the other good budget quads/duals from both Intel and ATi. Yes it has a small amount of cache, but the benchmarks clearly show it doesn't matter for gaming purposes.
I find those resolutions very rare. I'm stuck on a 14" CRT monitor at 1024x768 :crying:
That's nothing. I got dual 19" LCD monitors running at 800x600 each.
That's nothing. I got dual 19" LCD monitors running at 800x600 each.
Why are you running them at 800x600?
That's nothing. I got dual 19" LCD monitors running at 800x600 each.
most 19" monitors have a native resolution of 1280x1024. why are you doing 800x600? just grab a 4890 and it will seem the same at that res
