Phones are not for watching movies.
It's not like you'll be able to tell the difference on such a small display. It just needlessly inflates the price with a super expensive display.
I watch Top Gear on my HTC Touch Diamond. The video is downscaled to the phone's max resolution, and it lags horrible, just begging for a faster CPU.
I'd love the ability to watch HD movies on my phone, seeing as I take the train twice every single day.
Yeah, but again, that's only a processor issue. The display is still utterly needless. At that scale going above something like... um, WVGA maybe? Is utterly pointless and just adds pointless performance cost and material cost.
I jizzed on my pants.
DO WANT

Well you can't say for sure until you've actually seen it/used it in action.
Maybe I can't say for sure that WVGA is enough, but I can say that 1280x800 is too much. You'd need 20/20+ or something and not even get all the detail then.
Sexy.

You could be right, the AMOLED screen is certainly going to be pretty though.
We'll just have to wait and see if the 1280x 800 screen is really worth it or not.

335DPI...wow. I think it'd be fine as long as the fonts are big enough.
I just got a Hero :(
Damn, and I was almost done saving for my new computer.
I just hope somebody manages to hack android onto it, that would be perfect.
Spent a while playing with the emulator for Phone 7, along with a binary file of everything unlocked. Gotta say, it's nice. Not sure how I feel about the overall menu system yet, but after playing with it a bit I found that I enjoyed it a bit. It's different, which is sort of nice. We'll see. Overall though, I'm liking it.
This is exactly like the Evo, except running WinMo instead of Android.
This is exactly like the Evo, except running WinMo instead of Android.
No, the Evo is 1.0 ghz instead of 1.5, 800 x 480 instead of 1280 x 800, and has a kickstand.
And it's camera doesn't record in 720p, and the output for HDMI is only at 720p, not 1080p.
I just got a Hero :(
Well why'd you buy a Hero then? There were already other high-end phones out with Android, the Hero isn't even close to being one of them.

Also, in my opinion this is still a piece of shit because it runs Windows Phone 7 and has no QWERTY keyboard.

And in my opinion this is literally my dream phone, AMOLED screen, windows phone 7, ridiculous res, fast processor and it looks hot.

Bet it runs hot too.

A phone that's also a personal hand warmer. Awesome.
I haven't had a smartphone that didn't run hot.
It would be better if it had android.
I just noticed something awesome.
With these specs, it'll be able to play Age of Empire III
Oh fuck yes, that would be an EPIC portover.
oh my god.
SAVING UP SAVING UP SAVING UP
getting a job this summer for this!
God I love HTC.
This is exactly like the Evo, except running WinMo instead of Android.
No, that's the HD2.
Nice fake, I'm sure the HD3 will be great, but I doubt this is it.
Nerdgasm.
Nice fake
If this is fake, I will cry myself to sleep.
Digging a bit deeper Windows Phone 7 requires a screen resolution of 480X800 or 480X320. So I dont know what to make of the fact it apparently has a 1280X800 resolution.
Alright, you may want to know that this is pretty old news, and that it isn't a official concept.
Following the sources on this I came to this site, and I think the text "HTC HD3 by NAK ... My concept about the HTC HD3 ..." confirms that we are looking at a fake.
I cannot decide if I should rate box or late on OP...
fffuuu
I wondered what the skull and crossbones was doing on the screen.
