my sapphire 5870 is good my xfx 4670's were also good end of discussion k
What a coincidence, my sapphire 5870 is good and my xfx 4870 was good too.
reapaninja why do you give a shit if they're all the same exact card except for sitckers and plastic covers. It doesn't make a difference to you what card the OP buys, were just saying if you buy ATI, buy from someone that has been making them since forever.
because XFX has a double lifetime warranty, meaning if it ever breaks down they'll fix it

hey man we used to be cool
there's nothing wrong with sapphire, my point is XFX has a longer warranty so sapphire isn't the "safest choice"
if you want to guarantee you can get a replacement in X years (thus ensuring you get the "safest" option possible) then you want to look at warranties that last that long, if you know you're going to get a new card in that time and you'd rather save a bit then just get whatever's cheapest
I have only ever gone XFX. They have amazing customer support and always back up there warranties or repairs for there cards/products I have bought. I would pay the extra $ to know my product has a double lifetime warranty. Plus as mentioned before are much, easier to sell when you say that it has a lifetime warranty.
That's my 2 cents.

Alright, thank you for explaining your reasoning.
Sorry I snapped before, but you just came in here and started dropping F bombs where ever you could.
I got an xfx 5870 overclocked
HD 5770 here
from XFX :smug:
ok, you're comparing 2 companies, there are plenty more
[editline]01:22AM[/editline]
ati doesn't sell cards, how can you prefer them over XFX
What you're saying is "if they're different they're different". If you take the same stock card from any brand they're going to perform the same and cool the same.

I have XFX 5770 too, the one with newer cooler
I have XFX 5770 too, the one with newer cooler
I got two of them :hf:
I have the ASUS version, I remember John Edwards saying that it overclocks better/can get a lot more performance out of it compared to others, but I may have read him wrong
I have bought a Diamond 5770, its supposed to be an long pcb with a nice looking model, but they sended me some short and some ugly 90s cooling, it cool well, but it has a bad overclock capability and you cant control the voltage.
Avoid Diamond product.

I believe they come with unlocked bios's so if you so OC you can without voiding your warranty.
XFX, Sapphire, Asus, Powercolour, HIS and ATI brand are all fine, I wouldn't get VTX as they cut corners to get the price down.
