I have 2 5870's I'm not upgrading anytime soon.
I would skip the 6-series and wait for the die-shrunk 7-series mid next year.
This - I'll be waiting for at least the 7 series to upgrade my GTX 275, which currently runs pretty much anything I throw at it perfectly.
I'm sure my Ati 3450 will beat the crap out of the 6000 series. Looks like I'll wait for these before building my new computer, or the 7xxx series.
My 8800GT is scared.
I'm keeping my 5870 until an upgrade is required.
I got a GTX470, I had an ATI Radeon 5750 but it died, normally I upgrade the graphics card once every 14 months. This is why I stay clear of ATI

Will get new parts next summer maybe but if the 6 series is most like the same as the 5 series i hope the 5 series will drop in price or something. My 4850 still works good so there is no reason to upgrade yet.
well someone already said that a bench was leaked and only showed a 5% increase over the 5 series, so don't get too hyped
It's obviously still in development, but I don't think it will rise far above 10%.
I'm just hoping the GTX 4 series prices drop, I can already afford the GTX 470 I want but saving a little money is always nice.
If my dual 5770s in Crossfire starts to suck, I'll just buy one or two new 5770s. :v:
why do you have a motherboard that supports Crossfire over four PCIE slots? [editline]05:42PM[/editline] nevermind dumb question, didn't realize they're so cheap
I'm still happy with my 4870.
I'm hoping that these will still be very attractive from a price/performance ratio.
With Crossfired 5770's, I'm not upgrading until new games start dropping below 10 FPS, and by then the 8000's may well be out.
Yup, I will wait until the 7000 series at least before I consider upgrading past Crossfired 5770's.
Hopefully this will reduce the cost of the 5850 enough so I can buy another one and crossfire it
I've sat through several generations over the last 3 years. I'm still happy with my 8800, and I will continue to be until it dies. It's impossible to keep up with the market nowadays.
How much higher will the priced be for the 6000 range? i'm getting a 5870 vapour X soon, i want to know how much more it will cost/ how long i'll have to wait/ how much better will it be. you think it'll be available in Australia by October?

All this new tech is making 8000/9000/200 Nvidia and 3000/4000/5000 ATI feel old :(
I'm sticking with Nvidia :)
I'm keeping my 5870 until an upgrade is required.
this, i bet 5870 will last pretty long
this, i bet 5870 will last pretty long
Especially with those god damn "next gen" consoles holding games back with their shitty ass 5 year old hardware.
