I'd say the latest iPod touch has a better screen with its high PPI, but then again it's not an IPS screen. Actually, I'll say they're even only because of the Zune's perfect contrast.
i would go with the new ipod, only for the reason that it has a camera.

The camera on the iPod Touch sucks dwarf cock.
Zune Pass ($15 a month for unlimited music downloads, get to keep 10 songs you download for free forever) will soon be going international, which would include canada (EDIT: Whoops maybe not, seems every country BUT canada thanks to some kinda canadian governement plot):
Is there any difference in sound quality with the Zune HD and iPod Touch? I, too, am thinking about getting a Zune as well.
In my experience Zune's have always had better sound quality than iPod products but you might need a half-decent pair of earbuds/headphones to notice.
I reccomend a ZuneHD by the way. I've had once since launch and it's great. Loveee it.
The app marketplace for the Zune HD is slowly expanding, and will explode with apps once the Windows 7 phones come out. All of the apps are free, and they are all professional quality programs.
I love my Nano 8g, awesomme sound quality and none of the touchscreen bullshit. Just a good ol' music player, which is all I need.
