its not a mistake if I've been thinking of it for 6ish months.
I waited for like 8 months to have my current build and, believe me, it was juste like your in the very beginning. Thanks god I changed since.
threads like this are stupid because the OP is always some fuckwit who doesn't know how to properly spend their money and they're clearly not after advice despite what the thread is about because they ignore any and all they're given and try to brag at any opportunity especially considering who the OP is, this entire thread is a waste of time just get the most expensive PSU you can because you're not going to listen to any of us and you clearly have it set into your head that more money is always better
please state these "needs" because 3 470s = lol lol lol
Get the fuck out as soon as I finish fapping to your avatar. [editline]01:33PM[/editline]
I've got a bass guitar that cost more than this build. Why is it such an issue if someone spends large sums of money on a single object? - I'd do the same, if I alloted £2k for a computer, I will damn well spend £2k on a computer.
Somebody that fucking gets my point. [editline]01:33PM[/editline]
Well since you don't want any other advice (which is fair enough I suppose) all I will say is a 1000W PSU is fine for your build, but if you want to future proof a bit more then go ahead and get the 1200 is you can afford it
Thanks will do.
thread over, OP just explained himself in 13 words
If you've been witing for six months, wait some months more for Bulldozer. You're computer will stop being some of the best you can get in January. And prices on the i7 will drop when the sandy bridge is released. If you want my advice,(shitposting alert) which you've been reluctant to receive, don't get that build, it's overkill. Wait some months and you'll be able to overkill even more and a good bit cheaper. And stop flaming, it'll get reported. Edit: FINLEY, it isn't fair enough that he doesn't want any advice.
I want advice about Power Supply Units not trolls like you telling me my build is overkill/shit. [editline]01:35PM[/editline]
thread over, OP just explained himself in 13 words
How so?
I want advice about Power Supply Units not trolls like you telling me my build is overkill/shit.
Telling you it's overkill isn't trolling. It's a fact. There's no possible need at all where you'd need all that. You can do fucking CAD work with less. You seem to be buying the most expensive stuff anyway. Might as well get the 1.5kwatt.
How so?

Get the fuck out as soon as I finish fapping to your avatar.
came off as 13 or something, to me.

I chose the parts for him. I did my research. I'm completely appalled at the posts in this thread, honestly. He had the money, so I built it for him and I still came in under $1,000 of his budget. He has some sort of shit where he gets 50% refunded from any Intel CPU he buys, that's the reason the 980X is in the build, and also because he told me he will be rendering as well as compiling shit regularly. I chose three 470s because, again, it was still way under his budget and it performs better than two 480s and the two 480s actually cost $15 more. Originally I had picked out the Enermax 920W for him, but when he went to buy his shit in-person they didn't have it so now he's looking for another. I also had picked out only 6GB of RAM but he chose something different from what I had and bought two packs of it. I don't think I need to explain anything else, and ADT could you please for the love of fucking god, shut the fuck up. I'm so god damn tired of seeing you go into every fucking thread where someone has a big budget and you go and tell them to get a bunch of lesser shit because you deem it unnecessary. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to spend half of your budget because you think the performance they will achieve is "satisfactory." God damn you are one annoying motherfucker.
Odellus, you know Sandy bridge is coming soon, and Bulldozer too, though that rebate is pretty hefty, so why not get him to buy something easily upgradeable to a Sandy Bridge/Bulldozer build, so he gets the best price/performance? Even if he got alot of money, it's never a good idea to waste them.
You do not have to be so rude you know, Odellus? If OP want to buy his thing, okay, but we just tell the truth about it, that's all.

I said he gets half off of Intel CPUs. That's a 980X for $500. There is nothing even close to the 980X in terms of performance for $500. [editline]03:47PM[/editline]
You do not have to be so rude you know, Odellus? If OP want to buy his thing, okay, but we just tell the truth about it, that's all.
yes I do because you keep making the same stupid mistakes over and over in every single thread I read. $1,000 budget? GTX 460 i5 750. $1,500 budget? GTX 460 i5 750. $2,000 budget? GTX 460 i5 750.
If you read my post, I noticed. I'm more talking about that prices may drop at the launch.
1200W sounds like a good compromise.
Maybe he needs the computer now. Sandy bridge isn't for a while yet

He's been saving up for 6 months.
If you read my post, I noticed. I'm more talking about that prices may drop at the launch.
no they won't [editline]03:51PM[/editline]
Lol what? Stop seeing me everywhere, you know.
what
ADT/Go Dong + :frog: = :woop:
no they won't
Fair enough, you know your stuff, I'm not going to complain more. Also a 1200W seems to be good for the tri-SLI. Though I still find it overkill.
Get a Corsair 1200 W.
Get the fuck out as soon as I finish fapping to your avatar.
Quit flaming.
why must you bump this thread, stop adding fuel to the flameware and let it die
You still didn't understand from your previous topic, did you? [editline]09:00PM[/editline] And no, I'm really happy with my current build, even if I had the "same" amount of money I gained during summer like you. At least I wasn't stupid enough to throw on very expensive components [editline]09:00PM[/editline] If you really want compelling things n' shit, the X6 processors are better solution and way way cheaper. But since you consider yourserlf that AMD processors are shit, that's really sad
who the hell cares stop being such a midrange mike
700W is all you really need even for an SLI setup
Read the thread Buttsex. Actually don't, it's terrible. Basically, he wants to know what he'll need to power 3 GTX 480s.
700W is all you really need even for an SLI setup
3 gtx 470s on a 700w :froggonk: EDIT: :siren: I solved this a while ago stop bumping the thread :siren:
who the hell cares stop being such a midrange mike
I have no problem with high-end computer, what are you talking about? (I can even recommend GTX 480 when it's possible for example) There is a difference between having an high-end build and a ridiculous build
Take away one of the gpus any thing more powerfull then a gtx260 is a waste unless you want two or more screens.
