Loseless!??!1 must get this
Those are a lot more expensive. They also don't play lossless. This is a player for audiophiles who don't need any apps, they just want to listen to the best quality music available on the go. There's aren't many players that support FLAC except for a few really expensive ones and crappy Chinese players
I'm pretty sure both Zunes and iPods support lossless these days.
I have a piece of plastic that plays music, I don't get everyone's obsessive need to update their mp3 players so much. Other than an MP3 player breaking I can't think of a good reason to buy a new one like this. I don't know of anyone who even uses the video functionality to a really good extent. Most use of it I've seen is just to show off that it can do that. My video button still goes untouched. Touchscreen is an even more silly addition. Doesn't even add functionality.
Speak for yourself.
He did.

Haha "audiophiles". The only MP3 players that you could define as being "audiophile"-grade are made by Cowon. Just because you have lossless audio files on the go, doesn't mean that you get good audio quality.

They're also bundling EP-630's with them which are a lot better than standard earbuds. Don't come into this thread just to say Cowon is better
It just sucks that the interface lags a lot.
They see you trollin They be hating Anyway.... When gerbil gets money his Ipod is going out the fucking window. I FUCKING HATE MY IPOD. This thing looks soooo cewlllllll (omg i r sew cool look at me lol)
No they don't.
Actually they (atleast the ZuneHD) do. Just not FLAC, which isn't the only lossless audio codec out there. The ZuneHD supports WMA (lossless) format.
I'd rather buy Creative's other product, the Zii Egg. I already have a Zen (The one that was released right before the Zen X-Fi 1), and it's a pretty nice player. It doesn't support Ogg as far as I remember, so it's good that the X-Fi2 does.
No they don't.
Actually iPods can play the Apple Losless format and Zunes can play a lossless version of the wma format.
FLAC is the most widely supported lossless format from what I know, and I don't want to convert ALL my flac music to WMA.
I'm using my Sony Erriccccccssson W980, a none half bad MP3 player and phone to boot with a decent battery life, I don't see the point in the extra bells and whistles

FLAC is also open source, which is why I use FLAC [editline]08:27PM[/editline]
Actually iPods can play the Apple Losless format and Zunes can play a lossless version of the wma format.
They both suck compared to FLAC [editline]08:28PM[/editline]
I'd rather buy Creative's other product, the Zii Egg. Yeah cowon makes great products, such as the S9.

Great price for a no frills player with good audio quality, flac support, and well implemented microSD support. Great music players really. Creative has a winner with the Zii, a lot of people are waiting for it. Also Cowon D2 is better in my opinion.
I can't wait until touch screens lose popularity and you all feel like morons for using some unresponsive keyboard that you all think is so great right now.
I can't wait until touch screens lose popularity and you all feel like morons for using some unresponsive keyboard that you all think is so great right now.
Yeah, because no way in hell touch screens will be improved, we're just going to abandon them all-together.
iPod steel is just horrible material, it scratches like hell and is fugly after a minute. Magnesium with coating is the king of metals.
That Zen is one sexy beast. Makes my old Zen 8GB look like a piece of shit, but damn that thing has done a good job over the years. Creative actually makes some good stuff.
