Hey guys,

How would you suggest performing the ceremonial act of cable management on this mess?
Zip ties.
Finish with a wire cutter. There's way more cable than required.

Is that on a bike, good lord...
No, those wires won't get jostled funny and short or anything. Nope!

Velcro.
Yeah, at least I made sure that all the hot wires were covered and wouldnt bump a ground in the inevitable jostling. Unfortunately I ran out of crimps and had to resort to wire nuts. The lead acid is temporary too. Im going to make a battery pack out of 18650s.

Terminal block would make the wiring much cleaner and less prone to vibrating apart.

sorry, small accomplishment. My only experience with Linux has been loading up Ubuntu on a USB drive and being all like "lel i'm so good". This is cool as shit to do everything manually by command line.
[editline]5th September 2016[/editline]
This is actually turning out to be a really cool experience. With a little resource and general knowledge of a command line, i'm creating a functioning graphical interface to control my computer.
Never thought I'd consider a Thermaltake case again: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16811133302
But it's apparently pretty good from the 2-3 video reviews I watched. I'd go with a caselabs but my config is like 560 dollars and I'm not even sure what I'm getting. I'm astounded caselabs' website is still trash.
guys i just came back from PAX and i almost saw linus
guys i just came back from PAX and i almost saw linus
Oh so you got lucky then.
I heard both Linus and Barnacules and ran for my life.
but did you see me
If you saw a guy wearing a CLG jersey that says "Harambe" on the back, then you probably saw me

For the record, that's not me. A friend in our group bought one and wore it around during PAX for the lulz, and the result was hilarious
Rip harambe
I'm about 50% sure I saw that jersey. I spent about 80% of my time at PAX at the MtG Kaladesh area. I only went to the main area to see Razer, Gears 4, and Mega 64.
We mostly roamed around the exhibition halls and didn't really settle down anywhere for a long period of time. So maybe lol

You know the mods would never let us do that.
All the more reason to do it anyways.

You're getting everything you ever wanted and more. Also any replacement piece you could ever want whenever you want it. Also spending a shitton on some aluminum that you have to assemble into a case yourself.
E: Oh and you get to wait like a month and a half to get it

Actually forget it, I think I'll get the X9.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16811133278
Has 3x 5.25 for my hotswap. I like the horizontal motherboard design. Feels like it has a lot of practical room for the foot print. Also the fan mounting options look great.

Eww a steel case

what kind of charging system does that old bike have? cause switching to lithium ions isnt going to be as simple as putting them in there.
It's got support for casters.
The cosmos 2 I got has no support for casters, so it's impossible to move as well as being insanely heavy.
But really I'll never need another case after my caselabs, it can handle anything I could conceivably throw at it. It's worth it if you really have the money to throw at it, and have the use case to warrant it, which I think you do. Biggest bonus is down the road if you decide you don't like one of the options you chose, you can just get a different option and swap it in. My case is pretty much exactly the x9 but with a bit more room and better materials.
[editline]5th September 2016[/editline]
Steel cases are just mediocre all around. At least get yourself a good aluminum one.
I always kept Caselabs as an option because I never found something I wanted. I think this is something that will work well.
With that said, the only CaseLabs option I would go for is unavailable. And it says orders after July 31sts are temporarily disabled basically doesn't even let me order.
Ah they must have a big backlog going. I don't often seriously recommend caselabs, but for you I would. But the x9 should do the job, and if you don't end up liking it it's not a huge dent in your wallet.
Can any of you guys give me an example of your business (sole trader) websites if you have one?
I'm trying to work out layout and shit.
so i killed another mechanical keyboard and i'm typing this on my phone. i have a problem. new one comes wednesday :pcrepair::pcrepair::pcrepair:
