My Summer Car is probably the most realistic game about Finland, ever released.
I don't see any saunas?
gtx 295? [editline]31st October 2016[/editline] I know what you're talking about Im asking about the 295
Looks like there are two versions of the 295, one that has the same dual PCB setup like that, and another that was condensed to a single board.
gtx 295? [editline]31st October 2016[/editline] I know what you're talking about Im asking about the 295
The reference cooler for the 295 always reminded me of a VHS tape.
I was driving 100km/h, on the main road that has a 100km/h limit, I look away from the road for half a second so I tune to another radio station, and some motherfucker in a green car comes right at me, right between the lanes, with his fucking gay techno bullshit blasting at full volume, and the fucking piece of shit drives fucking right into me VITTU SAATANA HELVETTI
The waterblocks for these things are cool as shit. I might do a retro build with one because I can find the blocks for like $15.
There's the incorrect use of that word again! :tableflip:
There's the incorrect use of that word again! :tableflip:
Oh please, the term retro in the retrocomputing community is already bastardised to hell and back, any usage of the word is arbitrary as fuck and applies only to random things people decide is retro, on top of which NO ONE can agree what can accurately be considered retro or not outside of a few things that everyone agrees on.
Just as we find our favorite songs showing up on the "oldies" and "classics" stations, "retro" computing is an ever expanding field that no longer encompasses things only prior to win95. Hell, XP was released 13 years ago. At the very least, everything up to the point of XP's release is now considered "retro" whether you like it or not.
There's the incorrect use of that word again! :tableflip:
Just to trigger you
XP. For some strange reason the FX 9590 supports it.
Can you guys guess which day Apple released the new Macbook? [t]http://i.imgur.com/TGxYzLH.png[/t]
Meanwhile It's funny how Apple and Microsoft have swapped places over the years. Now Microsoft are the ones truly innovating and it's all about the creation of media while Apple are fucking around having no idea what they're doing.
I think Microsoft developing their own hardware is also helping, they're doing a fairly good job.
I don't see any saunas?
You have a fully-functional sauna in your house, the update that adds one in the back of your van is coming early 201X [editline]31st October 2016[/editline]
I wonder how much a note 7 would fuck over apple. Like they don't have a second line to fall back on and they can't just throw out another in a short time. And the premium product thing they have going.
What premium product thing? They have a flagship, sure, but they've spread themselves between that, the previous gen and the SE. Apple's downfall was catering to the mass-market instead of industry professionals, turning their computers from designer's tools to PCs for "creatives". Now it looks like they're shifting roles with MS, after the launch of the higher-end Surfaces and the Studio.

If Apple had an entire model line get cancelled because they suddenly forgot how to make a battery safely, it would irreparably damage their reputation. They'd try hard to recover, but they would have to be perfect from that point forward because if anything went wrong it would flood the news and potentially kill their handheld market share.
The reference cooler for the 295 always reminded me of a VHS tape.
The funny thing is, 295 started off as a sandwich as well [t]http://media.bestofmicro.com/geforce-gtx-295,8-F-172671-13.jpg[/t] And a couple of months later, nvidia went "oops this is dumb lol" and completely remade the card [t]https://www.techpowerup.com/img/09-05-26/geforce_gtx_295_single-pcb_05.jpg[/t]
Dual-GPU cards are one of my favorite things about the graphics race.
Dual-GPU cards are one of my favorite things about the graphics race.
Why stop at two GPUs? The (unreleased) Voodoo5 6000, powered by four VSA-100 GPUs. Their idea was to make a single GPU chip, and use one on the low-end card and more on the medium- and high- end cards. Saves on chip design... but makes board design crazy complex to design and make.
By the way, nvidia still make "video cards" with 4 GPUs even today: [t]http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/NVIDIA-Tesla-M10-Graphics-Card.jpg[/t] I can't find any pictures with the heatsink off though [editline]31st October 2016[/editline] Might as well go full circle and post this too: [t]http://www.lamerkatz.com/stories/images/bitchin.jpg[/t]

Someone on Vogons buys one every month or so for $LOL and nobody can fucking keep it in their pants when they post pics.
Curious how they disconnected the power cable. Some use proper molex connectors, others use varying size bricks externally.
Holy shit, one of my clients currently on a 3x3 bonded T1 line as the max they can get is moving in a couple months to a place they're getting gigabit at. They're not going to know what to do with their bandwidth.
well that looks as fake as my ex girlfriend
You're just jealous that your card only gets like 100 BungholioMarks.
They're great cards. I know someone who bought theirs used at the recycling center. The API is fucked though.
Windows 8/10 no longer have an iconic startup sound as well anymore, so this isn't really surprising. [editline]30th October 2016[/editline] To be fair, it's a massive embarrassment to have your laptop go "DUUUUUUNNNNNNNNN" on full volume in the middle of a class with 200 students
you can still turn on tho It's on the sound scheme, it only get's disabled by default
