Wait, is that supposed to be a serious question or something 'cause my Sarcasm Detector 8300 is a little busted tonight. Wi-fi drivers are spotty at best. Couldn't quite get it to work before. Best research for that claims NetBSD having my chipset under the rtwn driver from OpenBSD, but nothing about that for OpenBSD. Never mind that run drivers were supported one version, turns into ugen the next. Router's not in a convenient spot for anyone to wire up to it; we're all on wireless.

Tried beating it into submission with a big & hard rubber mallet?
Trust me, I'm a mechanic.
So I have been looking at rechargeable AA batteries and found these two seemingly high capacity and high performance 4 packs on Amazon. It's for my G700s mouse that seems to eat batteries like there's no tomorrow.
This Eneloop Pro https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00JHKSL28/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1
And the Amazon Basics branded one https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00HZV9TGS/ref=pd_cp_23_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=FQ8HRVJFK9MMVV1GZ265&th=1
Did an exam for "Component Based Software Development," 100 of the 120 marks were explaining what the ASP.NET controls did. The other 20 was "programming" that consisted of the following:
An XSL template to add some bold text in front of a number (3 lines)
Changing a label depending on whether a value was true or false
Creating a list and putting it in the session object (2 lines)
Applying a 15% discount over $750, or 10% over $300, with 5% more if over 7 items (7 lines?)
Some other basic as shit thing
I mean come the fuck on, this shit's easier than fizz buzz. For the first time I had to wait around for 10 minutes after I was done because you can't leave in the first half.
I read maybe three of the lectures, completely ignored the textbook, and can't imagine getting less than a 90%, what a fucking joke.
we talking about shitty design?

these fucking things, i swear to god
i'm still one of those who press down on the buttons with my other hand in a rapid succession, and the buttons themselves act as a touchpad
i gave the laptop i bought to my dad mostly because of it, it sucks so bad
and when we get laptops to fix here at work that have them i just sigh internally really hard
there's not even an option to turn it off in their shitty config app
trackpoint or bust
Dedicated buttons please or gtfo.

Get the Eneloops, I think they're still the best you can get, capacity-wise.
There's some Eneloops that can do over 2000 recharges, but they have fuck-all capacity.

I bought some rechargable duracells like two years ago for my Xbox controllers. Still going strong and they still last several long gaming sessions.

I don't know what to feel other than that my PC seems to be possessed but only at night.
I put it to sleep, and when I wake up, it has also woken up. Sometimes it does it at like half an hour after I have put it to sleep, sometimes it takes a lot longer, but I wake up at night to hear my fans whirring and HDD going clack and starting to spin.
BUT: It won't do it during daytime. I put it to sleep at 7, came back from school at 15 and it hasn't woken. And when I turn it off, it also doesn't wake up. Can't blame Wake on LAN too, I think, as that would also wake from shutdown.
Task Scheduler shows multiple things but the weirdest ones are associated with network. Others are triggered by user logon, but I haven't yet understood which one does cause it to wake up.
Also: it wakes up but doesn't wake the screens, meaning it ain't the keyboard or mouse doing it.

A malfunctioning Intel ME driver can sometimes do that
I'd often find my laptop whirring away in my backpack after i know I sent it to sleep
It was fixed by rolling back the driver
Also power issues can possibly do that as well, i.e. some heavy appliance kicking on during the night
Is there anything I can do to help with chuggy YouTube playback on my Windows tablet? It's got a Cherry-Trail Atom, it should be able to play fine, but on 1080p playback it really struggles.

I suffer from the same problem with my Bay Trail, it's probably due to the browser/ YouTube using a lot of the CPU. I normally switch to Chrome for YouTube but I'm not quite sure if it makes too much of a difference.

I'm using chrome myself, and it doesn't seem to help. If anything, Edge is a bit better about it than Chrome.

Speaking of which, a general question; does anyone else use their middle finger to move the cursor on a trackpad, their index finger to left click, and ring finger with middle finger for two-finger scrolling?
I use my thumbs so I can mouse while typing.

I just tap to click and two finger tap to right click. I don't even bother with the pseudo buttons at the bottom of the track pad.
[editline]1st November 2016[/editline]
Speaking of the track point, fuck the fact that this is seemingly the only wireless keyboard with a track point in existence and it's fucking Bluetooth.
Make a USB dongle 2.4Ghz version you bastards, I want to use it across the room, not a max of three fucking feet from my computer.
See if VLC can play it better. You can open up YouTube links in VLC using its network stream feature. Neat as fuck.
Great, I didn't even know that was possible. It will definitely help, since I can watch 1080p content fine in VLC. The weak cpu is really the bottleneck.
I prefer trackpads without dedicated buttons.
Fight me.
