Very helpful! Much, MUCH smoother playback. However, the YouTube playlist parser I downloaded seems to have real trouble. About half the videos in the playlist get skipped with a "can't open this url" error. Anyone got any ideas?
Well make that a 5th surface pro to RMA in less than a week. They're honestly pretty trash.

I mean my magic trackpad IS my favorite trackpad. He has a leg to stand on.

I know there's most likely browser addons/extensions for Firefox & Chrome that forces youtube to use codec's your particular CPU & IGP isn't completely shitty at playing.
We need more laptops with trackballs.

I use a trackball with my stationary, but even I think trackball in modern laptops is borderlining to crazy.
I'd be all over a media-center keyboard+trackball all-in-one device though.

EDIT: Holy shit I just saw that abysmal arrow key layout.
Just don't be Compaq and put it in the worst place for ergonomics possible.

No, because what the fuck are you going to use to type if your fingers are up there? Only way to mouse while typing is by using a thumb.

I can only come to one conclusion behind the idea of that device, and it can be summed up with one word: Alcohol.

The PowerBook 150 that I used to own had the best laptop keyboard ever. There was tons of travel, it felt sorta clicky despite being rubber dome and the keys were well sculpted. Unfortunately people these days don't like laptops being a kilometer thick, so that didn't last.
Some design engineer at Acer really missed the Ballmer Peak

these fucking things, i swear to god
i'm still one of those who press down on the buttons with my other hand in a rapid succession, and the buttons themselves act as a touchpad
i gave the laptop i bought to my dad mostly because of it, it sucks so bad
and when we get laptops to fix here at work that have them i just sigh internally really hard
there's not even an option to turn it off in their shitty config app[/QUOTE]
I got to using these things and I just use tap instead of press for everything.

Keeps harassing me about edge in various ways in the insider build.
Notebook Fan Control is one of the most useful software I've found for laptops, it basically lets you control your laptops fan to whatever speed you want (for the most part, depends on what laptop you have, etc.). So the HP ZBook Studio has this annoying fan oscillation effect where the fan speed goes up and down constantly and it becomes really annoying really fast. To avoid this, you can either turn the fan off, or make the fan go faster to the point where it doesn't do that effect. Lately I've just forced the fans off and I still monitor the temps and it has been working fine. For most of my web browsing, it stays at 40C. When I'm watching YouTube videos, it goes up to 50-60C and not having the annoying fan noises was a nice change. I'm pretty sure the higher than normal temps with the fans off should be fine for the most part. It will probably auto turn on the fans and override the program at a certain temp.

When your marketing is so bad that you resort to begging tactics.
I've been noticing that a lot of Windows computer OEM's have been including whole-pad clicking on their touch pads a'la Apple Macbook recently.
It spooked the shit out of me when I realised I was using my Asus UX310ua with the exact same gestures as my Macbook previously.

The recent notification I got was that Edge used 30% less of my computers battery as opposed to Chrome.
Seven hour battery life versus nine is worth it to have a more personalised experience with Chrome.
