Norton these days is a lot more polite about your subscription running out.

You bet their ass they're more polite about it. They got sued for it.
Reminds me of the malware fake AV popup that says "They're targeting your bank IP" with an IP address along the lines of "8.542.7"

I've only got a 32GB storage, downloading won't work, otherwise I would have used it long ago. I just want to be able to stream playlists in 1080p without chugging like a frat boy.

I don't know your use case, but you might also want to take a look at Kodi and the YouTube addon. That is what I use on my media computer, which also runs on a Bay-trail CPU. Kodi, like VLC, takes advantage of the GPU while providing a GUI. The YouTube addon supports the basic functions of YouTube like subscriptions, channels and playlists.
Movin' on up in the world, just accepted an electrical engineering position at a top name O&G company

Do I take the risk?
That logo is fucking hideous.
Apparently the new production models only have Pixio laser etched on the front since people complained about the ugly ass logo, sounds like people are getting that one shipped to them now.

Nothing black electrical tape can't fix
Today I learned about Benson Leung, a Google engineer whose job is to purchase usb-c cables and to test how they work. He posts a review on Amazon for every single cable he tests

Is there any reason to not use Quick Format when formatting stuff like hard drives or USB keys from one file system to another?
Is there any reason to not use Quick Format when formatting stuff like hard drives or USB keys from one file system to another?
Full format writes zero to every sector, thus erasing all data. It also remaps any bad sectors I believe.

So for a brand new drive or USB, quick formatting should be fine when changing file systems?
My graphics score in 3DMark Fire Strike went from 6k to 13k.
My CPU is definitely the bottleneck now.

Always use quick format unless you specifically want to wipe the drive or remap bad sectors.

i can't wait for us to get a new master fiber switch at work... :tired:
I had Doom demo installed, so I turned it on, cranked the settings to ultra, and AA to the correct mode (TSSAA 8x or whatever it is).
(Screenshotting refused to work with Vulkan)

What the fuck.
I refuse to believe the game was actually running at ultra settings. That's ridiculous, considering my CPU, if that's actually 100FPS with ultra.

The game was a slideshow in that room, on low settings, on my 270X.
That's a big enough difference to make me happy.
If I bought the game, I'd play around with settings and give a shit, I just booted it up to see Vulkan working, and the game handing workloads to all my cores.
So for a brand new drive or USB, quick formatting should be fine when changing file systems?
For a brand new HARD drive, I'd suggest full format. Will ensure all the sectors get written and to verify all is solid with the drive. if it gets a problem you can replace it with the store.
otherwise quick works fine for in-life formatting.
Someone gave me the most disgusting thing yesterday. An ASUS board from the 1.5 ghz Willamette.
With RAMBUS.
I've never felt more compelled to throw a board out.
Or frame it, put it on the wall and put a label under it saying "By 2005 the P4 will be available with stock speeds of 5ghz" -Intel

Finally ordered the new Macbook pro. Price was a bit intimidating, even for my wealth, but considering how well my 2010 Macbook pro served me for the last 6 years on a daily basis, I feel I can easily justify it.
Can't wait to have crisp as fuck text, sane display scaling and a decent UNIX system as my new workstation.
