oh shit
what kind of charging system does that old bike have? cause switching to lithium ions isnt going to be as simple as putting them in there.
There is no charging system. Its a 70s minibike that I recently put a predator 212 crate motor in. Putting a charging coil in it is more work than its worth.
I figure all the lights will pull around 2.5 amps with the headlight and taillight on, and almost nothing with them off (brake light, blinkers, and horn occasionally), which should last my 3s2p or 4s2p battery pack at least 2 hours of nighttime driving and multiple days of daylight driving before recharging. When I build the battery pack Im going to add balance leads to it so I can balance charge the pack with my imax B6.
3 Years after I set up the Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 at my company, (With no prior experience of E-Mail Servers and Exchange Server) it just started to go south, and I have no idea how to fix it.
This is gonna be a fun day tomorrow. Maybe my boss now finally gets a specialist to get everything back up and configure correctly, considering E-Mail is their most important way of communicating, and it just went *poof*
(Note: I am a Java Software Developer who also does Webdesign, and neither a sysadmin, nor do I have any experience in Exchange Server)
I don't drink Alhocol at all, but right now would be a very good time to start.

If they just assigned you the job and you had no way of getting out of it I would say its a problem the company created themselves. The fact it even kept up for three years without major issues by someone who doesn't even have the formal knowledge to do so is pretty impressive I'd argue.

When I started at the company, we are under a parent company, and were trying to leave them.
Once it has been known that I have experience with servers, I got tasked with designing a new server environment (The Company is 15 People small, and has no IT Departement, apart from us software developers), since I was the only one with Server knowledge.
Setting up Windows Servers, Active Directory and Domain Controllers and Fileshares & Backup's were a breeze.
When it came to setting up Exchange Server, I told the higherup's that I had no Knowledge of Exchange Server and that it is a Quite a heavy beast to setup and configure. But the higher-up's told me that they trust me that I can do it.
I recommended Office365's Exchange Online service, so Microsoft does the heavy lifting and management, but management wanted an in-house Exchange Server because data protection.
It took me about 3 weeks to get most things set up, and I essentially managed this due to sheer luck.
Let me tell you, There are no simple and straight forward guides for a very simple Exchange Server setup. Or atleast my Google-Fu failed me back then.
Funny, in the process of moving an exchange server off of windows server 2003, 6x 40gb HDDs... All of them IDE & failing... chok a block full of data.
Yay.
Thankfully I never deal with exchange, just data recovery and bespoke builds/servers.
In other news, how the hell does one get Intel to send some point of sales posters. We are still rocking second gen i-core posters and they look bloody terrible.
Your batteries look a little precarious. You might wanna add a bit more rope to keep them secure.

The bike is kick/pull start, correct? Cause if you use 18650s from laptop batteries, the cells are often not rated for enough amps to start most vehicles.
I also highly recommend something like this to prevent over discharage:
You should see when I was trying to fix my bike, putting 2x car batteries made it look like a bomb

[sp]My math estimated that it'd have ~200KM range with those though[/sp]
Did you account for the extra weight of the batteries increasing drain during acceleration and 'hillclimbing'?
Also does it even have regenerative braking?
[editline]5th September 2016[/editline]
Been pondering of converting a old moped to electric as a grocery go-getter for small things on days without shitty weather.

yep, recoil starter. Good idea on the buzzer, I was just gonna put a little voltmeter on the handlebars.
[editline]5th September 2016[/editline]
Nope, I was doing that just as a test, but it worked well enough (Until you have to turn), I've already fixed the LiIon batteries by making a charger with a DC-DC converter
Regenerative braking is something I'd wanted to make if I replaced the speed controller with my own microcontroller

Now I have a 3D printer I could start thinking again about adding battery extensions to my bike though..
I have a 36v 30a motor out of a floor polisher that I could make a fucking torquey minibike or small go cart out of.
If it's a three-phase motor then it's a good choice, if it's brushed it'll burnout extremely easily and won't have as much power
I have this cool little 2.65 HP 6700RPM 130VDC 18A PM motor from a treadmill I wanted to put on a bike. Just for fun, cause I intended on running it at 130V. With a custom controller and driver. But I'm getting a motorcycle soon and I don't have too much free time right now. So it's at the bottom of the list.
Getting shit from my GPU again, I close certain video games and I just get an black screen that requires a restart. The issues with it cutting out last year were a pain in the arse alone, and now I'm back to square one.
Went to walmart and bought a cheap like 9 dollar backup keyboard. Obviously feels like shit, and layout sucks. Backspace is half width, and enter key is massive which I'm not used to. But enough for me to work or play some games until wednesday.
How did you break your keyboard anyways
Speaking of keyboards, I rarely use my G13 now. I'm not doing any video editing right now which doesn't help the situation either. I have yet to edit the Chrome profile to work on mac OS..

Wendy's Frosty.
people breaking their keyboards makes me irrationally angry because I've given like three keyboards to one friend and she just keeps breaking them or all the keys are sticky or some stupid shit
how hard is it to take care of a keyboard
the keyboard I had on my first computer when I was 4 was still working fine until I gave it to her
Hey atleast I'm buying my own and breaking my own.

It baffles me sometimes. The family computer has a Microsoft Wireless multimedia keyboard and it's 8 years old. It has been mostly used by the rest of the family and it is gross because no one cleans it anymore and the angle risers are broken because someone rages when playing CS:GO too much, hence breaking it. The mouse's left click doesn't work anymore so there's now two mice in use on that computer for some reason. The wireless is really bad right now as it requires the receiver to be right beside the keyboard to really get the signal anymore but it still works overall. It became the family one like 6 years ago.
Backspace is half width
Trigger warning this filth.
Trigger warning this filth.
Who thought it was a good idea to have a half width backspace. It makes no sense to me.
Trigger warning this filth.
I'm the one fucking typing on this shit. I keep not deleting properly because of it.

Buy a unicomp so you can clean it with a garden hose and then dry it in a toaster oven at 200?
You could have waited but no you just had to be impatient. So it is your fault completely.
Also if you Google anything health related it all points to cancer, hit your little toe? You got cancer. Doesn't help that I'm paranoid as fuck about everything.
YO I need a keyboard to work and edit. I spent nine fucking dollars so I could enter letters into my computation machine.
bro
Just thought I'd share the fun
I've been thinking about constructing a simple little IPcamera-equipped car or something that can be controlled through the Internet, and then let random people go haywire with it
Kind of like this:

I have spilt at least 3 beers on my K70 and it still works totally fine somehow.

A friend and I were joking around about creating a Twitch-driven RC car that drives through a maze.
