I'll no doubt have to break it apart and burn it for warmth when the electricity gets cut off during martial law
Sooo... am I the only one here that voted for him?
Aaand now time to wait and see how badly this screws up my future. Yay?
I have to admit I didn't vote this election. And neither did 56% of the US. :speechless:

You can bet those 56% will be at the front of complaining about Trump winning.

Only matters if you live in swing states, California for example votes for democrat every single election, and if you get 50.001% of the vote it's the same as getting 100%
I like being on a different continent.
Move to China.
I genuinely am astounded Trump ACTUALLY fucking won.
He was just a joke candidate for years at this point. It's only now settling in.
Well time to move to Canada...

Every poll, every sign, just about everything indicated Clinton. Didn't expect this at all.
It's not all bad, my brother bet $10 on Trump winning.
In DD-MM date format, it's 9-11 right now.

Yeah but cuz of election shit it's been much worse than usual for the past few hours.
I'm going to miss Lavacano here.
That was a wild ride until the end. I only blame the DNC for not going with Sanders.
I wonder whats gonna happens to the Internet in America in the future considering trumps intentions to "close up" or restrict parts of the internet. And considering he admires the efforts of the chinese with the great firewall. A VPN might be a good investment for americans in the future.

Also people are prolly gonna regret their toxx's
I have a radio alarm, and literally the first thing I heard before I had even figured out how to open my eyes for today was how Trump is the 45th POTUS. It took a few minutes for it all to sink in, when I went to sleep the prognosis was still like 75% for Clinton just before Florida was done.
I think it's super interesting to try and figure out how we're going to be looking back at all this in a few years. How did basically every single "expert" both now and around Brexit get it all so wrong? I'm pretty sure this is symptomatic of a gap between the growing upper middle class and the real majority of frustrated lower class voters, in combination with how easy it is to build echo chambers without even realizing it now that social media is such a prominent part of how we percieve society. Maybe I'll come up with something better after I've had some coffee.

My uneducated guess is the whole "We are the good People with the one true belief VS Those are the uneducated bad people who shouldn't be allowed to vote" rethoric of the Liberals/Democrats/Remain Voters/Whatever fits this the most.
The whole Brexit thing and now the Election, those people tried to get people onto their side by literally throwing personal insults at the other side. This of course only puts the other side into defense even more. Democrats should be an example on how to be nice, polite and friendly instead of being salty and throwing insults at everything when it doesen't go their way, as the FP Election thread perfectly demonstates. Basically don't step down to the Republicans level and serve as a proper example on how to behave.
Throwing insults like "People like you shouldnt' be allowed to vote" And "Republicans are just uninformed for siding with trump" are not really helping trying to convince that the other side is "better".
Just my 2 cents.
