Don't trust IT degrees in general. They're a sham.
I wouldn't say that they are any more sham than CS degrees of most places since the difference is usually fewer Maths classes and lack of introductory computer architecture and organization.
What model of the S do you have?
The bf1 matte green edition.

I meant IT and CS
Best thing you can ever waste space on is right after you've done an install and you've updated everything, added drivers and set various applications with the login settings you like, make a snapshot image.
Then every so often when things shit the bed you just reload the snapshot.
Interesting, I should probably do that after confirming everything works after a reinstall. I'd have to make it as a bootable USB of some sort. Best tools to use on Windows to make this?
Odd question, but I remember years ago, my school had iMacs running Boot Camp with an odd boot selection screen. It had the Leopard default wallpaper with screenshots of each OS, and you picked from there. Anybody know what that was, out of curiosity?
My school used rEFIt, now called rEFInd.
I have this instructor in university who keeps mixing spaces and tabs, making Godfiles, using multidimensional arrays and multiple folders for website translations, and then goes on to talk shit about PHP frameworks because they just "complicate" things for no return. I swear this guy spends at least quarter of each class shitting on Microsoft like some 13 year old FOSS poser. He argued with me that interpreted software is always faster than compiled software and opened up Microsoft's website in his browser and showed up the source code of the page to prove his point to the rest of the class and get me to agree. I can't even tell if this guy is trolling or not but apparently he has been around for years and literally talks about good old days of mixtape to mp3 conversions as if he is some 80s UNIX guru. Guy literally thought that I was showing off in front of the class when I decided to wrap my HTML checkerboard table generation code inside a function to allow for easy alteration of row, column size and colors.
Do not trust third-world CS/IT degrees.
You named your username after your instructor then I guess?

Ghost comes to mind.

I've always gone with namecheap, they work well enough and do free shit like dynamic DNS
Was looking at namecheap before.

I made my own makeshift case lighting.
I promise they totally aren't $4 Walmart LED Christmas lights.
Are any New Zealanders from this thread around Christchurch? There's been a 7.4 earthquake there with a tsunami warning. Stay safe people

I think I found the perfect use for an old Galaxy S3 Mini that I had laying around.

I call it the Fatcam! Sadly my parents don't want me to have that phone hanging there for the whole week until next Friday when we use the deep fryers again.
No, I balanced it at the end of a shelf above the deep fryers and put a bin on top of it to make sure it won't topple off the shelf, straight in those fryers :v:
Learned myself how to touch type with 10 fingers instead of 4, goddamn the default stepped layout on all keyboards is shit. Right hand has to do all kinds of crazy reach maneuvers.
Typing on this membrane keyboard has become insufferable as well.
Seeing as two of my fingers are basically unusable I've basically had to learn to type in the most retarded format ever.
That post got me wondering... What is the most retarded way of inputting text there exists?
Chisel and stone slab
Nah, this is way slower

Alternatively, the text input keyboard on PS3.

PS3/PS4 is worse imo.

serious question wouldn't it make more sense to go to a local best buy and buy one
rather than asking fp

Drawing it on screen with a Wiimote.
(I don't remember any games that did this but Skyward Sword had a drawing thing and it was unusable, and I'm sure SOME shovelware dev had a bad idea like this)

There has to be a 5 second delay for it to be truly horrendous.

Unless you know an FPer locally, or you live like in the middle of actual nowhere (like the northern part of western SD :v:) its probably both easier, faster and cheaper to go to a local store that has an electronics section and buy one. They aren't more than 10-15 bucks on the overpriced side.
Or go to Goodwill/Salvation Army.
I highly doubt they'd be more than $1.

Our Goodwills never have anything good electronics related. Even VGA cables. But it is an option if yours does.
Point being, no one is going to ship one to you for free. Shipping would be 4 or 5 dollars alone, and wouldn't get to you until probably Friday. You aren't saving any money. And I say this as someone that otherwise has like 6 VGA cables I'm not using.
My CPU has blown so I'm stuck using an AMD Athlon II X2 250 until I get a new one.
Is there anything I can actually play with a system like this?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/0P9uxB5.png[/t]
Also, does Speccy cap out at 4GB for graphics cards or something? Or does it just not like reading the entire 8GB in the 1080?

I think you should be able to successfully open Steam with that CPU
