Can I be Phil Dunphy, realtor, husband, and father?

Phil Dunphy is the kind of dad I'd turn out to be if I ever become one.

I guess this is close to a Jazz/hip-hop mix. Really good remix regardless.
What just happened?
Makol and I can't exist within the same thread.

Whee, my B&H catalog arrived! Only took about a month. There's something weird about looking through lists of PC hardware and really specific, really expensive AV equipment on paper instead of a website, and it feels so much nicer.
A month to arrive? Congrats, now everything in the catalog is out of date.

I was about to say, I got mine like 3 weeks ago. :v:
I didn't even expect it. Only thing I ever bought from them was an EdgeRouter Lite back in May.
Kiwi, why are you currently in Japan? X

Is there any good software for simply cutting video? I don't want to go through the hassle of pre-rendering in After Effects or Movie Maker or whatever. I have the timestamps I want cut and that's it.

Nevermind realized Handbrake has this function

shotcut is nice too if you don't have the timestamps and want something visual
So I apparently got a junk i7-3720QM, or something. This fucker hits 100C under p95+furmark in just a couple minutes in a laptop that originally came with these as an option. (HP 8470W) edit: also disabling turbo boost only delayed the thermal shutdown :(
Back to the i5-3320M, no more 45W quadcore powah...
nah thats pretty normal p95+furmark is murder on laptops
So I called HP Canada to set up a return for the ZBook Studio because as you may know, my unit has an ISO formatted French Canadian keyboard and it drives me insane with the small left shift and weird Enter key.

The rep tried to offer me $130 credit to not return it after mentioning my reasons for the return and that the US keyboard replacement part is $128 plus tax.

The credit doesn't cover the taxes and such and I'd have to take it apart myself, get the tools and the warranty wouldn't be the same (since if I was to send it back to HP for repairs, if they replace it, they would likely give the exact model number and SKU which would come with the annoying French Canadian keyboard). It wasn't worth it so I did the return process.
I'll have to go get the unit with a US keyboard from a reseller like CDW and get the Dock from them too. My main concern with this is if the warranty works in Canada for both items since it says it's the US variant.
After doing the math, it's $63.25 at CDW more compared to what I paid. I did get a $100 discount from HP when purchasing and would have gotten $130 more in credit for not returning it. CDW charges for shipping while HP does not. CDW doesn't really do returns without restocking fees while HP does free returns, return shipping and no restocking fees.

The docking station is really neat with some minor bugs that is caused due to Logitech Gaming Software being dumb and cheap DisplayPort adapters. I had a bunch of issues when installing it but after getting everything installed, it works. It does like to make a bit of high pitched coil whine noise when I have a 4-port USB 3 extender plugged in which can be annoying in my quiet room.
I went to Fry's today and nearly spent all my dollars.
I was lucky to escape and only buy a Dr Pepper. My coworker was no so lucky and bought more stuff for his new computer than he needed.

I had to force myself out of micro center today when I went to pick up a part for a client.

goddammit wingless
look at what you DID
Yeah Microcenter is way too dangerous for me.
Went in a month ago to get a wireless mouse and came out with two raspberry pi's, a 3-pack of canned air, an hdmi cable, and a pack of starburst.
I've never been to a micro center, but then again I've been on Amazon lately and have ordered a ton of crap to be shipped to my door step.
