Oh wow, I didn't even try that. Unlike VLC, MPC-HC and WMP, it can actually play back this H.265 4K video file :V I don't get anything about this
VLC uses internal codecs which suck. MPC and WMP use separate codecs. So not their fault.
Oh wow, I didn't even try that. Unlike VLC, MPC-HC and WMP, it can actually play back this H.265 4K video file :V I don't get anything about this
VLC prides itself in being the swiss army knife of media playback. It'll play almost any media, but that doesn't mean it'll do that well. MPC-HC is for those who either knows what they're doing, or willing to learn it the hard way.
When something doesn't play well in anything I have installed, I just throw it into Premiere Pro and play it there. It works pretty well 99 percent of the time. If you don't play at full res, it also helps. It may also help to slap it onto the time line, render it, then play.
Hurray it appears that W10 Anniversary update gets rid of the way to get onboard working with a dGPU in many older setups since they removed that part of the actually useful control panel.
I end up burning videos and photo DVDs for family all the time. Plus I watch Blurays.
Literally easier to just torrent a bluray remux than to put it in the drive. I can start watching within a minute and I don't even have to get out of my chair. Plus once I have it on the media server, anything on my network can stream it with a few clicks.
What kind of internet do you have? That sounds like a dream to me.
It's called the "Not Australian Package" [editline]29th November 2016[/editline] But there are plenty of programs that force the torrent to download sequentially so you can stream it as it downloads.

Trying to play a blue ray on a PC makes me punch walls.
The Australian equivalent is streaming flacs.
More like 3rd generation compressed MP3's. [editline]29th November 2016[/editline]
Trying to play a blue ray on a PC makes me punch walls.
It's like they purposely made it as difficult as possible so they can complain about piracy more.
Does anyone know where I can get an ISO for Windows 7 Professional? I tried here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows7 but since the key on the computer I'm trying to reinstall it on is an HP/OEM key, it tells me to go to HP's site to get it but I haven't been able to find any download, just instructions on how to make a recovery disk or use the built in recovery partition.
Hey now. Australia is getting there. Surely 25/5 is enough!!!!
Excuse me some places can get 100/40 if the stars align and you have the correct angle of head tilt and right tongue positioning.
What kind of internet do you have? That sounds like a dream to me.
50 Mb down. Configure your torrent client to download linearly (perfectly fine on private trackers*). The average bitrate of a remux is often well under 4MB/s. You can give it a minute to buffer if needed, but it will download faster than you watch it. The only problem is that 'streaming' them fucks with most media players, so if you change the subtitles or try to fast forward or rewind the player crashes. You know, typical file permissions type conflict stuff. *Private trackers have enough bandwidth that you can easily reach several hundred Mb/s, if not a full gigabit, on a server. Because of the seeding requirements/incentives, they have tons of dedicated long term seeders, and the types of people using them also have above average connections. Many people downloading sequentially can be dangerous to a typical bittorrent swarm because the protocol tries to create as many 'total' copies of the files. By downloading sequentially you can create very lopsided swarms where only a few people are in possession of the end of the file, which can cause speed issues, especially when they disconnect. On private trackers, you have both higher speed connections (reducing the impact of time constraints), and long term seeders (eliminates the time constraints). In practice, most people don't download sequentially, so the impacts on a public swarm would be minimal. Other clients will end up downloading sequentially in reverse to compensate, and nothing will happen. It's theoretically a potential issue if a lot of people are doing it though.
Trying to play a blue ray on a PC makes me punch walls.
This is why I don't even have a disc drive on my new build. I had a bluray drive on my last machine and never used it because it was such a fucking pain to play BDs.
I just discovered the magic of 120hz and now I don't want to use my big 43" 4k screen anymore :(. [t]http://i.imgur.com/yNYysyP.jpg[/t] Edit: Eugh shouldn't have used flash, my desk looks fucking filthy.

Oh hey, Spotify is doing a promo where the first 3 months of Premium is 99 cents per month.
Oh hey, Spotify is doing a promo where the first 3 months of Premium is 99 cents per month.
They did that last year too I think. It's pretty nice for giving the service a try. I went back to Google Music after my 3 months were over because frankly GPM just had a better selection for me. Spotify's phone apps were a lot better, though. And having a proper desktop app is nice too.
So I really missed the Win+X Menu found on Windows 8/10 when I was using Windows 7 on the Thinkpad. I decided to install Windows 7 when the SSD arrived for it because I figured it would be better off running an older OS since it is a 6-7 year old laptop. I did some searching and found this app that adds it to Windows 7 https://www.nextofwindows.com/add-windows-8s-winx-menu-to-windows-7 although it's a bit old and doesn't have the updated Windows 10 Win+X menu where it has power options to shut down, sleep, etc. The Win+X Menu is legit one of the most useful features in Windows 8+.

But I really like listening to movie commentaries on movies I like as well as other bonus features. Good luck finding those on public ones. Your lucky to find one that isn't YIFY.

First season of Star Trek is 300 gb.

Plus the disk space. Especially when the alternative is going to a used movie/game shop and pay $6 for one and be back home to watch it in 15 minutes. :v:
