It's not up to Youtube to determine that. I'd be more understanding if it was HTML5 or even flash telling me this.
Actually, Firefox notified me of this last week that the XP support had ended and my browser will no longer be receiving updates. That I can at least understand but when it's a website restricting access not because of your version of flash or the age of your browser but what OS you run, that is just queue jumping and poking at shit you have no damn reason to be looking at anyways.
Also, webm is for open-source window lickers who still believe Linux has a place outside of the lab it should of remained in. Raping a CPU to skirt licensing makes you look like a cheapskate and a monkey who blows at programming.
You're saying there is no reason to EOL flash?
Why are you against progress?
You're saying there is no reason to EOL flash?
It's definitely not something that should be further developed on, except gaping flaws since there is a a whole lotta old content that's never gonna get converted easily.
You already know my stance on webm and linux. How is this at all a shock?
Because your stance on Linux is actually objectively wrong.
Because your stance on Linux is actually objectively wrong.
apparently this is what happens when you breathe beige plastic fumes too much
yeah but then pentium started saying objectively dumb things
So I really missed the Win+X Menu found on Windows 8/10 when I was using Windows 7 on the Thinkpad. I decided to install Windows 7 when the SSD arrived for it because I figured it would be better off running an older OS since it is a 6-7 year old laptop. I did some searching and found this app that adds it to Windows 7 https://www.nextofwindows.com/add-windows-8s-winx-menu-to-windows-7 although it's a bit old and doesn't have the updated Windows 10 Win+X menu where it has power options to shut down, sleep, etc.
The Win+X Menu is legit one of the most useful features in Windows 8+.
What about EFI Fast Booting?
What about EFI Fast Booting?
Decent SSD + using sleep/hibernate instead of flat-out shutdown honestly gives approx same 'start-up' time.
If using a harddrive, then we can talk about it, and if also insisting on full shutdown, then I give in.
This is why I don't even have a disc drive on my new build.
I had a bluray drive on my last machine and never used it because it was such a fucking pain to play BDs.
A bluray drive is great if only for using something like MakeMKV to rip your own blurays so you don't have to deal with hunting down the disc for whichever movie you want to read.
i hope the 1080 ti wont be above $800
Webm is for avoiding the stupid patent and licensing costs of mpeg/h264/h265, which is good
i hope the 1080 ti wont be above $800
Probably $700 given the pricing of the 1000 series in comparison to the 900.
sheesh fuck adding gpio buttons to the pi, that's way too complicated :v:
having to get resistors and learn all that, yeah no thanks, ripping the power cord will do
So I grabbed a SP3 i7/8gb/256gb with a busted power button for free today. Shouldn't take much to get it working.
Making my own HMD because why not
And also because importing technology into Brazil is highway robbery?
You're saying there is no reason to EOL flash?
Fuck that. EOL it.
You guys are trying to stuff words in my mouth now.
To the original standards Macromedia laid out for Flash (and its precursor, Macromedia Director) it was great for things like kiosks and interactive media. The problem is feature creep really undermined it (often to the point that only the streaming media hooks were used) and it's passed the point of saving and need to be retired.
Sure is a bunch of boxes getting thrown around in this thread in the past few hours :v:
And also because importing technology into Brazil is highway robbery?
Actually it's more often than not actual mail robbery :v:

No, me first.
:v:
send it to me so I can destroy it
Fuck. My old gpu only had a mini dp so I had a mini dp to dp cable. My new one has full dp so I can't use my cable and now I'm stuck on dvi or I have to unplug my Xbox.

how long of a cable do you need
Makol aka Mr. "Here's all my stuff I don't need"
Sadly doesn't work out all the time. I tried to send cpt.armadillo some stuff but UPS and FedEx are run by doorknobs. They kept sending the packages back to me and eventually lost one of the things I sent.
My old cable was like 3 feet? I just unhooked my Xbox from my monitor and plugged it into my gpu. I'll order a cable next week.
So guys, November clocked in at a whopping 12.5 TB
gg comcast thanks for the internet

[sp]that feeling when the graph to show your data has to go up to 14 TB to show your usage[/sp]

This is my usage over the past 3 months with AT&T. I'm 3 days into the current billing cycle and have already used 15.1 GB :v:
My old cable was like 3 feet? I just unhooked my Xbox from my monitor and plugged it into my gpu. I'll order a cable next week.
Oh. I only have 1ft cables.
[editline]30th November 2016[/editline]
I ain't got no interwebs cap here.
So today I went to do my monthly checkup on how bitcoin is doing, and saw to my delight that it climbed back up to the point where the $100 I put in 3 years ago during the china bubble is now worth $116. I also saw that coinbase has support for etherum now, and after reading into that for a while, I decided that since I cant get any luck selling my old gaming rig, its gonna pull its own weight around here and mine ether while heating my room.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/AJapx8j.jpg[/t]
I flipped it around so the hot air blows towards the center of the room and I dont accidentally smack the power button.
Ill leave it running a day or a week or so and see just how awful my used and abused 670 is at cryptocurrency magic. Maybe Ill try to grab a used AMD card off ebay to do it 3 times as fast. R9 280x's are going decently cheap looks like.
