A P.O. Box was my wisest investment since moving into an apartment with a mail-reading landlord.
[editline]14th September 2016[/editline]
You could have gotten a lot out of that. Besides the federal felony for intercepting US mail, that also violates plenty of various tenant protections. As in, in some areas, that's relocate to a slightly better apartment ("only" one available on short notice *wink wink*), unconditionally terminate the lease, and demand a full return of your security deposit, plus compensation for the price difference between your apartments for the remainder of the lease.
That's not just having someone by the balls territory. That's into the realm of suspending them off a bridge by hanging them from their balls.
Tenant protections are frequently insane. Landlords get away with being cunts through bullying, fear, and general ignorance. Even in the US, you can fuck landlords so hard. I legitimately don't understand how landlording is profitable in Europe. A professional tenant can live rent free if they know the system well enough, because most landlords really don't. One mistake and all the paperwork gets thrown out in the tenants favor.

thats what my titled used to link to
so i was trying to jailbreak my mom's dead surface rt (which is deader than we thought, i think it's also got a bad battery alongside dead emmc)
and accidentally destroyed my surface pro 3's bcd while making the magic usb drive (DON'T FORGET THE /STORE FLAG, AND USE A FUCKING NON-ELEVATED PROMPT)
but my only other computer is running os x, and my internet is too shit to pull a proper recovery image
so i am kindly having a friend make a small recovery usb for me, then send me its files
"don't take the recovery usb to vacation" - i thought - "you won't be doing anything silly anyway"
i've got to say i kinda missed this fuckery
woooo guess what I splurged on today

Is that one of the ones you stick your phone into? I hope you didn't spend more than $20 on that thing :v:
I spent $15 on it for that exact reason yes
[editline]14th September 2016[/editline]
Currently modding it to allow USB power hookup and audio jack
$15 ain't a bad price. I'm thinking of buying a ~$10-15 plastic one myself, though it might be more fun to 3D print it.
It's great honestly. I might experiment with some apps that allow me to connect it to my PC through USB and have a sort of VR headset for the PC, even if the latency is a bit shit

Only thing is that you need to find your own head strap

I was using TrinusVR for exactly that and it was actually pretty nice, but no OpenVR support. I seem to remember a new app coming out supporting OpenVR, but I haven't looking into it.
I won myself a limited edition YouTube Space edition of Google Cardboard. When I put my phone into it, it was the first time I tried VR videos or VR anything for that matter. It was pretty cool and I now know why high res displays are on phones. So you don't see the pixels when using these things with your phone.
Dremeled two holes for the headphone and USB jacks and now life is good
I got one of the free cardboards Volvo sent out a year or two ago. My sister borrowed it without asking and broke it. :(

They're literally $5 on eBay my man no worries just get a new one
Why is it so hard to find a case for a 3.5 inch external hard drive. There's only cases for 3.5 inch internal hard drives.
They're literally $5 on eBay my man no worries just get a new one
But it was FREE.
Naw I wasn't really using it anyways. My current phone is less than HD too.
I tried the steam controller at my friend's house
It was useable but felt like I would rather just be using a dualshock or an xbox controller
So this security textbook just said that Java has safety features such as garbage collection to prevent OS faults including blue screens of death. It also says that Firefox has the HTTPS padlock at the bottom right but I can't remember when it hasn't been in the address bar. It also suggested using AVG.

What version even is that?
Moving on it says that CGI is retired and server side scripting replaced it, and that "server side scripting" is a misnomer because it's binary not interpreted. Then it lists PHP which is both using CGI and is interpreted.
This is just one of 25 high quality, fact-checked, up to date chapters in this wonderful compendium of knowledge.

Can't you just do a backblaze and shuck them and put them in a case for an internal one?

It's something that really needs a little bit of getting used to.
I like to describe it as a controller that's a jack of all trades. With a little bit of config you can get it working with pretty much anything, and quite well at that with some genres.

It looks like version 2 or one of the old nightly builds.
What's a good Chrome extension that will use a USA VPN so I can access stuff that is USA only, that's also free and usable for streaming videos?

I'd still rather have a controller that isn't so reliant on Steam though and I'd imagine it is pretty crap for use in emulators. There is no real compelling reason to use it over my existing Dualshock 3 either, providing the drivers continue to be developed I see no circumstance where I will drop it.
That's always my favorite. Back when I lived in the ghetto in Toledo whenever I'd see that my response would be "Dear god are you fucking serious?"
They once left my FUCKING TV on my porch. No packaging over it too, clearly a 40" TV. In the ghetto. I ended up just having all my carriers hold my packages on premises for me to pick up.
You say you live in the ghetto, but no one stole your TV, did they? This is basically a paradox in itself.

There's some very specific cases I'd like to have one for. Namely things like GTA V - aiming is way better with a mouse, but driving is garbage on a keyboard. I feel like it'd be a nice middle ground.

I'd hook you up but I can't get SoftEther to work on my US VPS (connects but still shows my IP), only my NL dedi. Very sad, also cold.
Can't think of any content that can be had in the Netherlands that can't be had in Australia though so there's one more thing I'll never use.

"United Kingdom"
Good VPNs are only like $40/yr it's really not bad at all
