Just ordered a cheapo x86 tablet with Windows 10 for 700SEK (~80 USD). I've no doubt it's a sluggish piece of shit, but hopefully it has enough power to make web-browsing relatively comfortable, at least http://www.pointofview-online.com/showroom.php?shop_mode=product_detail&product_id=477
Those Atoms are pretty usable for single tab browsing

Surprisingly usable. [t]http://i.imgur.com/JIU65z6.jpg[/t]
I have obtained employment for a managed services company doing a bit of everything, really cool company from my impression.
My big complaint is that the code is just absolutely unreadable, and this is coming from someone who actually enjoys systems programming in plain old C.
I couldn't stand using PHP until I found Twig, it makes things a lot less messy. Coming from using Python+Flask for things, I feel reasonably comfortable with PHP now.
I just visited a friends place and he has some of the coolest home setups I've seen to date. Let's start with is work room. He recently built a desktop with a high end i7-58something, overclocked and liquid cooled, 64GB of RAM, 2TB in SSD storage and a 1070. Also recently bought another 4K monitor, which makes his setup have 2 4k monitors, 1 vertical monitor and 1 random 4:3 LCD for displaying other stuff. He wrote his own software to do stuff in his room via his keyboard. Want to turn on or off lights? There's a keyboard button for it. How about the blinds? Same thing. Now lets go to his living room. He's able to control the lighting in the living room with his phone, or his entertainment PC via the number pad on a wireless keyboard. He's got snack dispensers, a big bean bag to lay on and a nice sound system. He's got a media server somewhere on a NAS with 32TB of storage or something like that. He's got the highest end Surface Book, but he hates it because it's buggy af. He's got a car that has so much tricked out tech, it's hilarious. He's a software developer and has made all of this (and his homebrew software to control stuff) over the years for fun. I want some of that stuff man..
Is this through Bash for Windows? I can see Xming running. I considered the Bash for Windows setup some time ago, but I had trouble getting openssh-server working.
Need this background.
I reuploaded it to imgur: http://i.imgur.com/jqIqaoi.jpg But you can find the original somewhere in "cyberpunk wallpaper" search results on Google Images, it's the first thing that caught my eye.
Seems so strange to spend that much on everything else and then only get a 1070.
Especially with two 4k monitors. He should be using at least a 1080 if not holding out for the 1080 Ti.

And if it matters, the one I linked has double the RAM of the one you linked.

The Titan and 1080 match or beat it in most application benchmarks and real world use cases. (Outside of something obscure like medical or heavy sci math)
Got those hard drives from a week or so back in my NAS: 80TB raw in there, throw 16TB of those out for parity and then deal with the annoyance that is base 2 and base 10 and you're left with:

Quadro cards also have a ton more double precision FPUs unlocked compared to the puny amount on Geforce cards. That's the real selling point.

Even then, the computational side of things is not worth the difference in price. They aren't that different in performance.

The Titan X has 12gb VRAM and is better for general rendering but that isn't what the quadro is made for.

The point I'm making is that the majority of your price difference is the ability of having that much VRAM available on one card. Yes, you get better double performance, but that isn't going to add $5500 to the consumer version. If you're using it for it's designed purpose, you're going to likely use more than 12gb of VRAM. Double precision calculations or not.
