Okay what the actual fuck. We just had a brownout at a client while I was here. Now her keyboard cannot do Ctrl+alt+del The keys all work fine independently. I've tested the keyboard on multiple systems with the same result, another keyboard works fine on her computer.
They won't. USB-C will become as vague as m.2
It's already pretty vague since people are already mixing up "USB 3.1", "USB type C" and "USB-C with Thunderbolt 3". Typically if it has Thunderbolt 3, they will say it somewhere. If not, then it's just USB-C. Or Thunderbolt 3 is only in select models or markets, etc. Like realistically you'd only see Thunderbolt 3 on the higher end computers and laptops, just like Thunderbolt 2. You'd have older laptops with MiniDP but no Thunderbolt 2, while some would have MiniDP and Thunderbolt 2. The Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 from 2015 had the same sort of thing. Only select models had Thunderbolt 2 and Asus didn't want to make two chassis for the laptop so they just put a Thunderbolt logo to cover the MiniDP logo on them. So far, I mostly see Thunderbolt 3 on business laptops or anything that is on the higher end of consumer.

Then again, I keep libraries at a bare minimum and only include them in the project if I really need them. The only exception to that rule is TypeScript, because I just plain refuse to write JS without TypeScript, as it actually imposes some sane decisions into the JS Environment. Usually I end up with only 1 library and that is React, which atleast is quite """small""" (Atleast compared to other monsters like Angular, where a hello world seemed to require several megs of dependencies.

As someone who tries their damnedest to avoid anything remotely similar to any kind of dev work, you have my condolences.
This co-developer (who I don't think has written a single program in his life) absolutely loves to latch onto the first buzzwordy framework he sees, asks me to look into it, then tell our supervisors we're going ahead with it before I can tell him why it's a bad idea Now with 4 weeks left in the project and a barely functional app, he's leaving This wouldn't be so bad if I didn't NEED THIS SUBJECT TO GRADUATE :suicide:
anyone know of a (firefox) addon/userscript that makes you have to activate youtube embeds? entering a thread with more than a couple here freezes my browser for like 30s

Now I have two of them and wanted to find a way to push audio via HDMI to both of them at the same time but I'd imagine there could be some delay on one of them. Another way was to use some 3.5mm audio cables, and a splitter but I'd always get a hiss noise from the 3.5mm input on the back of the monitors. Not sure exactly why but HDMI audio hasn't given me any issues lately.

Ayyyy I managed to sell my 560 Ti for a decent amount towards my 1070.
Are there any good 1440p120hz monitors still being sold I'd prefer 120hz over 144hz since tons of games run at either 30 or 60fps :v:
Run it at 120hz?
Will support for that be listed anywhere on the monitor description? I can only run one of my monitors at 60, and one of my other monitors will only do 40 or 60hz, for example.
Make a new custom resolution with refresh rate. But the supported refreshrates should be listed. My XB271HU for instance does 144/165, 120, 100, 96, 85, 80, 72, 70, 60.
My U2515H only runs at 60Hz - I have tried running it at 50Hz, but then it just stutters :unimpressed:
I think its only CRTs that can truly vary their framerate to match the content and my experiences of watching linear 25FPS TV on my LCD panel seems to confirm it.
Some cheap panels for compatibility say they run at a different refreshrate but actually just frame dupe or drop. TV's commonly do it.

Windows always detected my monitors at 50Hz for whatever reason, I have to change it to 60Hz in the graphics settings from time to time.
