Yeah give it a try, when I move into my apartment at the end of the month I'm resubbing so let me know if you like it and I'll throw you a referral, pretty sure it gives us both a month free.

Anything with more than 1px window borders looks bad to me now but 7 still looks 10x better than 8.

Found this on /r/opendirectories. We're going to crash the pepe market.

Thanks, took them all.
Yeah I don't mean free as in 100% let me just update my monitor for freesync. I mean a cheap chip and you're good, not a more expensive module+licensing. For anything at least midrange there's no reason to not include it.
Hopefully some OEM comes out with a perfectly good cheap chip at some point like Realtek does for PC audio.

Tiny bit too rounded and 'glassy', otherwise the swansong of good Microsoft UI design.

Fucking American broadcast standards
NTSC is actually 59.94FPS (In a way), which looks perfect with a panel running at 60Hz, so you have nothing to complain about. The only thing good about the PAL framerate is that it's a nice round 25.000 (Which also looks identical to 24FPS for that CINEMATIC LOOK) or 50.000, not this 29.970 bullshit.

Thats what AMD is going for, it's an open standard. It's more expensive currently because the technology is newer. It'll get cheaper over time.
lol, rendering a video on my laptop causes the touchpad drivers to slow to a fucking crawl. I tried scrolling 30 seconds ago, and right now when I'm typing this it's scrolling one line every 5 seconds.
:goodjob: to you, Asus!
Oh Pentium since you're here I have a question.
How do you vanquish dot matrix printers? I've tried salting the ribbon and burning it but no luck, it just shrugged off holy water too.
But seriously over the last week I've spend roughly 15 hours troubleshooting various issues with the 6 dot matrix printers at this client. :suicide:
Whaaaaaaat? How can you manage to fuck up a dot matrix printer? They'll print just about anything you send it regardless of formatting.

When you have a new program that only uses oki dot matrix models from the 80's and has to autoselect through them and detect various triplicate forms they're a bitch. Also the interface is screwy because I had to do some extra steps to get it to actually print out the non-normal settings that I didn't even know existed.

Most of it is, yes. Some of the issues are on the printer itself though, be it by design or firmware.

Dot Matrix printers are the kind that if you manage to fuck those up, then you're a turbo retard.
Many of the older ones doesn't even have firmware, it's all logic array chips controlling the hardware via the LPT port pretty much bit-banging data to them, and the drivers were spartan only containing the essentials.
I got a new monitor today. It's an HP MX70, which I bought for $5 for the sole purpose of old games.
I set it to 1440*1080 and it hasn't thrown a fit so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
explorer.exe decided that no, I don't need to show you the time. Can't open any windows from the taskbar too.

Thank god I have a giant rainmeter clock still running, even though it is covered by some window most of the time. And alt+tab works. And I usually have stuff that I frequently use open, but still, crashing like that is retarded.
which GTX 670 is it?
An MSI GTX 670, 2GB of VRAM

My favorite (not really) way for explorer to crash was last year a bunch of our servers running Win2008 R2 would randomly decide that explorer would crash. And that broke the object oriented-ness of it. Like you couldn't right click files without hanging explorer and the start menu was pretty much useless. Just weird UUID errors or something to that effect. The only fix I found was rebooting.
Then all of a sudden it went away and stopped in January or so. No fucking reason.
