Holy goddamn my new computer is quiet. A quiet computer is something I've really come to appreciate, so satisfying to be playing a heavy game or rendering a video and not even being able to tell by ear whether the computer is on.
I noticed that too when I upgraded to Haswell. Even with the various fans the thing is so amazingly quiet (and cool!) compared to my Nehalem build.

Not to mention the fact that some newer GPUs and motherboards can stop fans completely when not needed. 5 out of 8 fans in my computer aren't even running right now.
There have been fighter jets exercising or whatever right above me all night, how the fuck am I supposed to sleep with this noise aSfDfsdghh

Is there any Firefox Addon that mimics how Opera 12 handles tabs?
More specifically the ability to 'stack' and group them.
Also, is it possible to turn off the 'tab list sideways scrolling' so it acts more Like Chrome in that regard?
I often forget about tabs because they're not directly visible and is at the other end of the tab list, and thus will have to scroll through the list all the time.
Those two things combined would be damn nice to have in FF, since I tend to be a tab hoarder who only closes them down when I'm 100% finished with the subject I opened them for.
WTF why are you posting rubber bullets.
Uhm... look at the filename

I'd call you all plebs but I'm almost certain there's somebody in this thread with one a few months older.
You're one day older than me...

First time shitposting from a Windows phone. My dad got a Lumia 540 to replace his 2014 Moto E for just 90 bucks in a discount. For that price point I should say it packs a punch.
They did get grub running on those ghastly things didn't they?
Also tested out GK on my lenovo tablet; bam. Actually worked.
So I got paid yesterday, biggest paycheck since I started my job. And I can't get my parts before Labor day. So I guess I'm waiting almost like a whole week to buy the stuff.
Wanted to play with the new build over the weekend.

I use this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tree-style-tab/
I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for but I find it useful.

Looks like its lights out for OpenOffice. Been a long time coming, I just hope the last users get redirected to Libreoffice as they probably don't know it exists.
Whoo, just finished a 12 hour long deployment that started at midnight.
I only have one hour of sleep on me in the last 24 hours, and that's because I dozed off and my phone was on silent, so I missed the 4 calls I had gotten. :v:

Isn't it just a SFX form-factor psu? or is it some other weird form-factor?

This is your regular reminder that Asus is a giant shitty bag of dicks.
This time, it's their media keys. I finally gave up on Windows Media Player, and switched to MusicBee. Works great, except I couldn't get the media keys to work with it on my laptop. Every time, it started up Windows Media Player.
I tried all kinds of tricks people had reported. I rebound every file extension I could to the new player. I set it as the default for every music-related protocol. I dove into the registry to set it as the default for CD audio files. Nothing changed.
I checked for changes from Windows 10, going into the Metro-style Settings app instead of the control panel. Still no change. I narrowed my Google searches to W10 specifics. Nothing new.
After about two weeks of on and off tinkering, I remembered that it's usually Asus's fault. I pretty quickly found that they have their own program that runs to handle media keys. I found the programs that are supposed to be used to configure it - they all crash on startup now, save for one that shows a 404 screen.
Some more digging finds that Asus hard-coded their little driver-app to call Windows Media Player directly, rather than simulate key presses on the MediaPlayPause or MediaStop or MediaNextTrack "keys".
I managed to find a rewritten version someone had made to fix this, and surprisingly the download still worked. Installed it, and it immediately worked.
Asus can go chug shit from the tap.

While this PSU i purchased for R$79,90, the brand-new dell psu cost R$375,90
I prefer to get the 79,90 and some tape at the local dollar store :v:

I briefly considered getting an Asus laptop instead of a MacBook.
Whether or not you hate Apple, I still stand firm in saying that I made the right choice.

Why do they even need drivers for their media keys anyway? Are generic HID interfaces not good enough for them?
Honestly anything that's not an old Thinkpad or a Macbook is probably gonna have at least one glaring flaw
[editline]3rd September 2016[/editline]
The only improvement for thinkpads off the top of my head is switching the left Ctrl and Fn keys

And they should have made the minimum resolution for the 13" and above models 1440x900 instead of 1366cancer.
