The mobile telecom companies in Canada is a even bigger scam than what US has to offer (or anywhere else in the world tbh)

They invented the internet, and also invented monetizing the fuck out of it.
I pay next to nothing and yet I still both get maxed out & unlimited ADSL2+M for home and 14GB data mobile.
I COULD get fiber, but the ADSL is currently good enough and I've got more exiting projects going on than digging a trench for the fiber though our shitty driveway.
Hoping to have enough dole saved up to completely remodel it in a year though since it (the driveway) sucks ATM, so when that happens I'm laying down a plastic pipe to route the fiber through easily.
Oh man my fh3 download is already at 50%!

Finnish is hilarious
Finnish is hilarious
i'm sorry, I try to keep my OS english because the translations NEVER work and it's super hard to figure out a problem when you don't even know what the OS is saying, some things just seem to force their way in to finnish
Same, I mostly prefer my devices to be in English. It's easier to google error messages, and sometimes the translations are wrong.
Seriously, fuck Windows.
I tethered my phone to my laptop while I was on a ferry yesterday to check my email, and I got a 1.5GB data usage warning after 10 minutes of light browsing. Turns out this piece of shit OS was using the so called "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" to download updates I never consented to initiate over 4G network.
Now I have less than 500MB of data left to use for the next 3 weeks. Seriously, fuck you Microsoft
I had a similar problem with ExpandDrive. I was tethering and it was uploading a file that wasn't even accessible (aka on a portable hard drive that wasn't even plugged in) so I don't even know what the fuck that thing was uploading. Also metered connection was on and I guess not many programs listen to that option.
Oh and I have 6GB of data but I don't pay out of my ass compared to others. Gotta love those grandfathered plans.
Bit late on this but:

I wasn't going to get unemployment anyways, they've been making up reasons to give me write-ups for the past few months and, in this state, if you're terminated "for cause" you don't get unemployment.
Also I quit like 12 hours ago so can't do anything about it now.
BTW, I'll give you some phone talk and how lithium batteries explode if you give them too much volts.
I've had 2 phones where the charging point shitted on me, and first I was super scared to put straight usb 5v500ma to the pins. I had no money but really needed my phone on because of work at that time.
Nothing happened. I took the battery out, with cut usb cord + to +, - to -. Ok, the phone was designed to run on the 3.7v battery. It ran without any problems. That's a huge jump in voltage, but the phone didn't care, the battery didn't care. That's why I have usb leads going straight to the terminals on my "modem" phone, the battery is there just because where I worked the power got cut 2 times a day and I didn't want to turn on my phone every time.
It actually used to get super hot sometimes under load, now it's ok because it doesn't THINK it needs charge, it HAS charge.

But getting fired doesn't look good on a resume.
Unless he's getting "laid off" rather than flat-out fired.

charged batteries are 4.2-4.35 volts so it's "only" a 0.8v difference minus whatever on-load voltage drop
still pretty neat that phones do tolerate that though
whats the best ssd that's 120gb for less than 50$? my friend is needing one and he only uses about 30gb of space.

I pay $95/mo for 150/15 cable and 1TB data cap with comcast. To their credit it generally works very well, but I bought my own modem and a WRT1900ACS because their boxes are shit.
For the same money ~45 miles south at my old place, you can get 12Mb DSL with a bundled phone, and the phone is required for more than 6Mb :v:
I think there was 20-30Mb cable for slightly more
At my old house I could get 6Mb DSL (forced bundle with phone) for only $110/month! And it goes out at least once a week!

Should be illegal to advertise it as 150 mbps if you can only use it for two thirds of a day before you hit the cap.

usual lithium at 3.7, and extrme at 4.3 fucking madness. I thought I'd melt my phone
