Yeah, I like the deprioritization cap battle going on right now. TMobile started it first at 21gb, then AT&T put theirs at 22gb, now I think TMobile moved their new unlimited plan to 26gb.
Woke up to pounding on the door this morning and was about to yell at my roommate for forgetting his keys again.
Turns out it's the fiber company and they're running fiber lines to all the apartments today :v:
Turns out the 945GM chipset can't use the full 4 GB of RAM, it only addresses 3. Damn you early 64 bit technology!
Well I got dual channel now I guess. :v:

I ran out of round momentary switches, but the bodge job toggle switch is kind of growing on me.
Today I found out that it is true that if you call the phone line for a store, they will likely allow you to haggle so they can get the sale in. You just have to talk to someone and be on the phone for a bit.

It suppose it helps to give context to the type of store. A mom and pop store that sells cameras, probably. But a big box store like Walmart? Employees aren't paid enough to give a shit.

I thought it was a pipe bomb for a second...
How powerful is the diode?
just a 20mw 405nm diode. It was the most powerful cheap one I could find without resorting to chinese ebay diodes that only put out a third of their advertised rating and burn out in a week. I guess if this one turns out that was I can just pop it apart and stick in a different diode.
Today I started watching "If the Emperor had a Text-to-Speech Device".
My fucking sides.
A typical tuesday night at the warship residence. I miss fucking around with macOS so I'm trying to get Sierra working.

It's just a 4:3 image, the drivers aren't working yet :v:
Looks like a Dell S2715H.
I have one, it's pretty nice.

I just got $100 off on HP Canada's store by calling them. I wouldn't have gotten it if I ordered the thing online on their website. So it's not a mom and pop store, it's a big box manufacturer. They don't even ask or verify the price matching either. Doing it after the fact would be annoying too, but it's something where you have to buy it over the phone there and then. Not wait until the next day or later. Also if you say you're a student, you could get discounts that way too, which is what I did. I guess they care more about the actual sale.

Really thinking of getting this Ultrawide https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msca/en_CA/pdp/Dell-UltraSharp-34-Curved-Monitor/productID.314712000 which I believe is this one http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=hk&l=en&s=bsd&cs=hkbsd1&sku=210-AEBV and after reading online, it seems like a good ultrawide monitor.

Last time I tried to buy a 1 mW (legal maximum here) one from China I got a letter from customs saying it was seized for being 100 mW. Then they upped the price on the ebay listing because I guess they realised what it actually was.

Do they start out flat and get exponentially bigger?
If they do, link pls.

Unfortunately not. But they were all grade a gifs. Too bad every link to it is dead.
So I bought a used 48 port managed D-link gigabit switch so I can complete transitioning the entire house over from two switches to one. I'm kind of surprised this thing has no fans inside it.
It came.

And so did I.
What's your fps in Halo CE on that thing?

What's the point of a gigabit switch if all your gear is half duplex 10mbps?
What's the point of a gigabit switch if all your gear is half duplex 10mbps?
Future proofing for when someone inevitably makes a gigabit NIC for an Amiga 2000.
What's the point of a gigabit switch if all your gear is half duplex 10mbps?
I actually checked and the only thing on the twisted pair network that was stuck at 10mbps was the JetDirect in the printer. Everything else is at the very least doing full-duplex 100mbit.
Also, I know damn well that the connection between my desktops and the file server is gigabit. I installed that years ago.
Just don't tell anyone I'm also running 10mbit multimode fiber as well. :shh:
