what about mac mini tho
Apple has pulled all models except the non-Retina iMac from the refurbished store ahead of their event on the 27th. [sp]This includes the Mac Pro.[/sp]
It must mean that new stuff is coming out.. Oddly enough, the refurbished store for Canada still has stuff in stock. So i'm in a lan party and this is what i saw so far
ISO is the norm :glare:
Nah, pretty sure we in the US invented the keyboard.
Nah, pretty sure we in the US invented the keyboard.
You're also still using Imperial measurement unit, and have backwards internet quality even in most large cities...
You're also still using Imperial measurement unit, and have backwards internet quality even in most large cities...
Sorry but I'm just going to focus on the positives of this country and not the negatives because I'm a true American.
Probably because it's a shorter list.
you wanna fucking go mate
Broadcom BCM970015 specifically I got it working in XMBC on Mac OS X and it's nice, but I hear in Linux you can even use it with Chrome.
This seems interesting, but how difficult would it be to implement? Just a drop-in thing?
This seems interesting, but how difficult would it be to implement? Just a drop-in thing?
Hardware-wise yea you just plug it in. Software-wise you gotta set it up with drivers and such. Dunno how difficult it is for anything other than Mac OS X.

Dunno how difficult it is for anything other than Mac OS X.
For *buntu based (and Debian I guess) it's just
sudo apt-get install crystalhd-dkms firmware-crystalhd
To install driver and firmware, but you'll have to edit parameters or launch options to most programs in order to get them to use it. It's a little cumbersome, but hopefully only a one-time ordeal.
Alright, I need some input from you guys. I'm trying to build a budget mobile crash cart. Something that I can carry in my backpack with my laptop for quick on site server work. Don't need much screen real estate at all, and emphasis on cheap. This is what I've got so far. Downside to this specific model is it's only a 2 foot cable, probably should find a longer one. My goal is to build (or print) a basic case for it that holds the keyboard, monitor, hub, and monitor power brick in a semi sturdy manner with a hinge so I can fold it in half.

It's $100-150 more than your solution, but I feel like that's worth it given that it's more convenient, small and light enough to always have on you, and it's something you need to work in critical situations.
My surface broke It only turns on if I preheat it in direct sunlight for about 6 hours Microsoft wants $450 for replacement that wouldn't even be a pro 4
Got to hold this yesterday at Work expo. It actually worked and wasnt a dummy. [t]https://my.mixtape.moe/yoakwq.png[/t]
Got stood up today from selling my old $30 laptop. That's fine didn't need the money straight away but if you're gonna not communicate when you're gonna be there to pay me I'll just relist it. :saddowns:
For something cheap and small like this, just tell them to come and pick it up at your house
What you're incapable of hitting a normal sized enter button? There's no reason for it to be so big unless you're stormtrooper typing.
Large is normal sized. My point was rather that the only reason you think a large enter key sucks is you're not used to it.
Alright, then i'll make this into content time. So voting was originally supposed to go live on october 1, which it sort of did. On October 1 I go off and tell everyone everywhere about my thing and nicely ask them to vote. Then I get blasted with messages saying that Facebook/GitHub sign-ins are not working. I check all that manually, which I didn't before because I didn't want to accidentally cast multiple votes. The message form on the website never got any replies for my prior questions, so what I do is track down the guy who deployed my entry from GitHub on Twitter, and ask him what's going on. Then voting gets taken down because of that + the fact that not all entries were live yet. Fast forward a week later, all the entries are there, voting is reset. So I go off to embarrass myself again and ask everyone to vote once more. And then I get messages from everyone who voted for me the first time saying that they couldn't vote because the site said that they already voted. They reset the votes, but not the voters. Okay, one tweet later that's fixed. So I go on and ask everyone again, but this time nobody wants to even look at it :suicide: In the end I got nobody looking at my link on Twitter All while competing with somebody who has 10k followers and a blue checkmark. Not to mention the fact that I actually made an anime entry like the weeb I am. [editline]14th October 2016[/editline] Originally voting was supposed to end on October 14, but was extended until the 21st. I imagine the website didn't get updated, so here I am again tweeting at the poor webdev handling all the entries + website almost by himself.
