It's not just redundancy, devices with higher power draw also needs the extra current supplied across multiple pins without causing too much resistance.
Not sure where to put this but here goes, I have the potential at the moment to get a new desk to replace my old and weathered one. Currently have my eyes on a Ikea Bekant as it fits into my £150 budget but I've heard some bad remarks made about it. Any other suggestions?
I feel like buying a Galaxy S2 for 50€ just to do shit with it. USB OTG Y cable for charge + devices and sounds like fun. Various possible things: Backup camera + GPS + DVR in car, remote function for DSLR without having to buy a remote, IP webcam, etc. Feels like a better purchase than buying every one of these things alone. S2 is a nice bed for that too, 4.3" at a really skinny case is pretty much big enough. AMOLED screen, powerful enough for most things and has a lot of kernels and ROM-s.
That's the most ridiculous thing I've seen, are there any drawbacks?
The only drawback is Windows 10 itself
Why the fuck does it have so many +5 and ground points? How much fucking power does this thing need?? At worse toy only need two lines for each and you can reduce the wire count to 6. Also: This fucking hurts me. FreeGeek is probably charging them out the ass for stuff, yet they could totally travel half a block away and get everything at The Hackery, likely at the cost of just getting mentioned. Every fucking time I tried emailing or calling LMG regarding either to sponsor or to propose a partnership I get the "yeah, we'll look into that" replay and never hear back.
You just need to accept that LMG screws up nonstop so they can make videos about how they screw up.

You can click on the letters in the windows 10 start menu and quickly jump to the letter you've pressed

Scrolling through programs list in 2016? /end twitch meme Seriously though, since Windows 7 I've basically just typed the program I want into the search bar and it comes up instantly, assuming it's not one of the numerous programs I have pinned to the taskbar.
But who even uses the start menu? I always just use the search feature.
fucking ninja'ed [editline]16th October 2016[/editline] OH MY GOD WARSHIP

I just use the search thing to open programs, I do that on Windows and Mac OS.
sadly search is still broken on 10 since rtm
Speaking of ways to open things, I don't use the desktop anymore. Seriously, the only thing on my desktop is the trashcan :v:
Speaking of ways to open things, I don't use the desktop anymore. Seriously, the only thing on my desktop is the trashcan :v:
why haven't you disabled the recycle bin icon on your desktop
why haven't you disabled the recycle bin icon on your desktop
Still useful to have tbh. I actually have found reason to restore some stuff I deleted, so I don't shift-del things. And it's always a pain to find the recycle bin in Explorer.
You just need to accept that LMG screws up nonstop so they can make videos about how they screw up.
Then I shall continue to hang dead video cards off the front door of their office.
Speaking of ways to open things, I don't use the desktop anymore. Seriously, the only thing on my desktop is the trashcan :v:
I have that and a shortcut to the desktop because I've always had that back in the Windows XP days so I can access specific drives a bit easier. Meanwhile on Mac OS, I have nothing but the screenshot function is defaulted to put the image on the desktop. I don't think you can change the directory of where that is stored.
But who even uses the start menu? I always just use the search feature.
I would just search for everything like I did on 7, though for some fucking dumb reason the start menu search never includes exe files, even if I have the damn shortcut pinned to my start menu.
Uhhh
It's been mentioned here before. You never knew this? :v: Every time I got to the coast I pick up a dead video card or mobo from my favourite recycler. On the way back I detour through Langley and hang it on the front door of Linus Media Group. Kinda a sacrifice to help them from not fucking up as much.
you do realize how creepy that is right
He's like a cat leaving a dead mouse or mole at your doorstep.
I think that is hella creepy
I think it's hilarious. It's a public business address, it's not like he is going to Linus' and Luke's personal homes and hanging dead video cards on their door hinge. That would be creepy. Don't do that Pentium.
Had some HDMI issues, I thought it was the DP to HDMI adapter but I changed the HDMI cable and it magically works. I guess the previous HDMI cable didn't like the signal that came from the adapter. The AmazonBasics HDMI 2.0 cable worked fine with the adapter.

It's about as creepy as the guy who keeps leaving loaves of french bread in the toilet. If a hobo doesn't take it some time during the night you just end up with two youtube guys constantly puzzled why the fuck they keep finding video cards hanging from the front door. Just don't leave notes or go beyond that, cuz that's just creepy then.

Plasma 5 on Linux calls this "Favorites", and usually displays the favorites screen first every time you open the launcher. Windows Vista and 7 put it above the recent apps list and Windows >= 8 implements it as part of their "tiles" thing, and calls it "Pin to Start" in both cases. It is a far superior model and you should adopt it.
