Well each time she needs me I explain why or why not I think what she found was suspicious. Over time she's learned what to look out for.
Jesus fucking christ, I broke the digitizer on my tablet and asked around in my town and it costs 50 euros to replace (and the whole tablet was 70!). Is it hard to do DIY this? I found a replacement for 10$ from china but I have no idea if I can replace it without breaking shit. Anybody have any experience with this kind of stuff?

I used to repair iPads and it looks to be a much less painful process than those. If you're confident in your ability to use a heat gun and a spudger, go for it.
I use sharex + dropbox. No compression majic. :)
I just rent a dedicated server and upload with sharex. No compression, no bandwidth limit, effectively no space limit because my upload is too shit to fill it.
Time to install Adobe acrobat you mean
I already have that installed and it's kinda clunky imo
My Cardboard headset arrived today. The PD is too low for my head, so if I use it for a while, I stay cross-eyed for like a good 15 minutes or something, whilst my brain readjusts to seeing reality.
When your car gets stolen :tableflip:
Dude that blows.
I can't push more then 70 KB/s anyway to my server so I guess me and you are in the same boat. Thanks SFTP.
Pretty sure it's an issue with ShareX, I get 30 on there but if I use Bitvise SSH Client's SFTP implementation it does the full line speed of 100.
Shadow Warrior 2's engine is pretty damn impressive. Especially that Nvidia Multi-Res Shader.
I really wish Google had a "I'm not a fucking idiot, don't recommend retarded shit to me" checkbox somewhere. "Oh you like space stuff? Here's a horoscope! UFO coverup videos! Supermoon! You like that, right?"
I try to avoid the web player and use mpv to watch YouTube when I can. All I need is a third party YouTube search engine without all the crap the official site's accumulated and I'll be golden.
Speaking of YouTube, for some reason I can't full screen videos without it going black screen entirely anymore. Seems to happen in chrome. Haven't tried other browser just yet.

Why are so many people in this thread using Linux. Don't lie man, nobody actually likes Linux. *waits for argument to start* (User was unbanned for this post ("Truth" - Novangel))
Why are so many people in this thread using Linux. Don't lie man, nobody actually likes Linux. *waits for argument to start*
I think you're lost, the GMod section is a couple headers down. Do try not to wander off anymore, please?
Do you guys know how to loosen a screw that just won't turn?
When your car gets stolen :tableflip:
Nobody will steal my current car, but for my next one I'm seriously considering spot welding a GPS tracker to the frame somewhere so I can find it if it does get stolen. Don't have to tell anyone about it either if it's not beneficial to do so. Same with dashcams.
Depends on how stripped it is, and the quality of metal. I would try taping it over with electrical tape a couple of times, then try to see if your screwdriver can properly latch on to the screw with the tape. If that doesn't work, see if it is possible with a pair of needle nose pliers to damage/bend the screw and manually unscrew it that way. [editline]19th October 2016[/editline] Also people use Linux because they like it? Don't ask dumb questions to try and spite people.
Do you guys know how to loosen a screw that just won't turn?
Try applying penetrating oil and letting it sit for a while, then apply a second round and let it sit overnight. Assuming the head isn't stripped, see if someone you know has a hammer drill/impact wrench. Those do a great job of knocking rusty shit apart. If it's stripped and well and truly in there, you probably have no real choice but to get a dedicated removal bit. They're special drill bits that have counter clockwise threading and literally drill into the screw and when their friction overcomes the screw, it rips it out. Destroys the screw, and oftentimes the hole, in the process, but they get it out.
Do you guys know how to loosen a screw that just won't turn?
If it's not stripped, I've had luck with a screw driver + vice grip for added torque [editline]19th October 2016[/editline] Since it might be a US brand, I mean one of these: [t]http://i.imgur.com/OYgyhGM.png[/t]
Last resort before drilling it out is to heat it up so it's almost glowing red, but that depends on whenever the nearby components are heat sensitive or not.
Last resort before drilling it out is to heat it up so it's almost glowing red, but that depends on whenever the nearby components are heat sensitive or not.
That's... what? If you heat it up, it becomes bigger, therefore stuck more. The first thing we need to know what kind of screwhead it is. Then there's the point of it being seized because of oxidation or just overtightening. You can cut in a slot into some, use torx for hex or use a screw extractor.
Never noticed before but my internet gets really shit between like 8:30 PM and 11 PM. Usually can get about 800 down but it drops to like 200. Then stays at around 600 until midnight. It's an artform for smaller screws & bolts though, think anything below M6.
