I'm still fighting the kernel packages. Everyone stay calm - i've waited longer than this to take a shit before.
if i'd be more calm then i'd be sleeping.
Tick-tock.
I think it died.
Nobody is in the channel, only the bots and extrems with his bouncer thing. What happened?
Nuclear meltdown.
Nobody seems to want to step forward and help me out with the kernel. Yes... im still working on it.
I would love to, I just don't know how I could.
Nobody seems to want to step forward and help me out with the kernel. Yes... im still working on it.
What needs doing, kernel-wise?
Nobody seems to want to step forward and help me out with the kernel. Yes... im still working on it.
What about my suggestion? Modying this Arch Live cd so it comes with wine pre-installed and installs Steam after installation? It sure as hell would be a lot easier.
Nobody seems to want to step forward and help me out with the kernel. Yes... im still working on it.
Good to hear that this isnt dead. But the channel is empty. (Not counting extrems + bots, extrems has a bouncer.)
I'm always there when I'm awake.
I like Denzo's idea. I mean, we don't need to re-invent the wheel. I would love to do some coding if someone could teach me the basics of actually implementing it into a distribution. I'm a noob at the moment when it comes to Linux.
We use Debian already.
Just an idea - Maybe it would be useful if this project had its own twitter. Dunno, so Birkett / the entire dev team can tell whats going on. Of course, we could just post here. But this thread is kinda dead.
How long *does* birkett take to shit, anyway?
Anyone care to help me? If someone could teach me how to implement the coding, I could probably be a good help.
How long *does* birkett take to shit, anyway?
Depending on force and density, a few minutes.
There already is an account, you should know.
I didnt, Link please. I already searched, gonna look again. EDIT: This one? http://twitter.com/fplinux Doesnt have anything... *follows*
Bump, any progress?
There is never any progress.
I really hope they finish this project. I'd be the first to install it!
I'd like to see it finished as well. I always enjoy trying new distros.
I'm getting somewhere with it. Anyone have ANY experience building an initramfs during installation?
Nope, sorry.
Nope, wish I could help though.
I'm getting somewhere with it. Anyone have ANY experience building an initramfs during installation?
hey, can you take some screen shots of the current progress?
I love how this has gone absolutely nowhere why don't you guys do the community a favor and contribute to an upstream project instead of trying to reinvent the wheel
we reinvent the wheel m'kay
I love how this has gone absolutely nowhere why don't you guys do the community a favor and contribute to an upstream project instead of trying to reinvent the wheel
That would actually require programming skills. It's a lot easier to go "Lat's maek a distro!" then watch birkett do everything.
