Don't blame me I'm just the web guy.
This thread is hilarious.
I can chip in on web design if you want, www.ryanpark.co.uk is my site as of now.
Don't blame me, I'm the Linux illiterate numbnuts, who can't even install Linux right :crying:
I really hope this goes somewhere. I can't help in any way, but I can support it like this.
I really want to help, but it will require a little patience as I need to gain a better understanding of integrating things I write into the distribution.
I still think we should just fork off the chakra project and modify it to our needs, and even people who can't compile a kernel themselves ( that would include me at least ) could still write fancy bash scripts to install Steam and the like.
I can write fancy bash scripts :3:

As much as I hate to admit this, theres a reason why Ubuntu is so popular. They based it on Debian, so it inherited the piss easy package management and massive support base right off the bat. Progress wise, im never going to set another target date again. Way too much pressure, and considering i have a full time job, and a minimal life to take care of, Id prolly miss them anyway. On a brighter note, ive made progress with the kernel package, which now boots on a grand total of 2 manchines, one being a VM =[ The installation framework that the Debian team have made is fantastic. And its easy to rip out the artwork and replace it with our own :cheeky grin:
I'd love to do some artwork for it unless you have enough.
I'd love to do something to help, but my skills are in web and art, which are apparently full :v:
I also want to help, but just wanting to help won't do anything, and I fear that I don't posses the skills needed to really help. I'm currently reading up on my LPI hoping to get certified soon since I've technically been using Linux for years, but just now getting into the core of the stuff. When this distro is compete, I will defiantly have it dual booted on my desktop.
hey, can you take some screen shots of the current progress?
Here, I took a high-res screenshot for you. I think you can really see the progress we've been making.
Yeah, lots of progress. What a shiny cli!
[img_thumb]http://imgkk.com/i/4jq7PSxB.png[/img_thumb]
Antialiasing? Why do I never get told about the good things :(
You got that right, our OS is so awesome, it has antialiasing on its bash text.
Might look into modifying the framebuffer to support AA now...

Woah, how do you screenshot cli?
Wow, gullible much? :D
Woah, how do you screenshot cli?
He was probably using a virtual machine.
Vlad's pic was 'shopped. A fabrication. However. I use this utility ALOT: http://www.sfires.net/fbshot/ Does exactly what it says, dumps the contents of the frame buffer to file.
I can't believe they actually fell for that though. [editline]11:35PM[/editline] Why would an AA CLI even be useful? That's like going camping, but bringing luxury food with you.
