Linus probably uses BSD or UNIX. ewww what if he uses solaris :suicide:
Sun's dead, boi. The neckbeard hackers are prolly jumping ship as it is, Oracle gets their hands on nothing.
Prolly uses Minix.
Linus uses Fedora as his main OS though. [editline]09:58AM[/editline] Heck, Red Hat probably lets him use RHEL for free.
Would be funny if they didn't. [editline]04:58PM[/editline] Linus: "Hey man can I try that? I mean I did make the bare bones of it." RH: "No." Linus: "But -" RH: "No."

Haha yeah.
oh man linus doesn't use it it's bad everyone abandon ship
I didn't mean it's a bad server OS :( I just find it weird that he openly said that he doesn't see why people use it for servers. It's extremely well used and loved when used for all kinds of servers though.

If I was Linus, I would see what enterprise distros I could get for free.
Dude, they gave him stocks for free. And that was before Red Hat boomed.
He made millions off that. :v:
Dude, they gave him stocks for free. And that was before Red Hat boomed.
Nice. I love the Red Hat adverts too.
This fp linux distro will have the 2.6.31 kernel right? :smug: Its come out today.
This fp linux distro will have the 2.6.31 kernel right? :smug: Its come out today.
Probably not. It couldn't be too hard to switch though.
If you do that, switch the scheduler to BFS so VLC doesn't crap out every time I switch virtual desktops.
I'm wondering when there will be a version which I can download without having to compile it. Anyone got an answer?
When it's done wait, let me put in in a flashier form.
bump to see if it lives .. Whats the progress ?
It's like a logarithmic curve. The goal will never be reached. I hope it does though.
More like a sine wave tbh. One step forward, and equal and opposite kick in the balls.
Cosine. Started on a high :D.
Cosine with decreasing amplitude obv.
If this distro is ever released I will convert to linux forever.
If this distro is ever released I will convert to linux forever.
have fun without proper directX support.
It's more like Debian's weird spiral thingee.
have fun without proper directX support.
Have fun without me caring.
Have fun without me caring.
your avatar states otherwise.
have fun without proper directX support.
Go troll somewhere else.
Go troll somewhere else.
Excuse me, but DirectX is made by Microsoft, for Microsoft products. you'll never get DirectX to work under linux 100% as it does under windows. Granted most games are supported with little to no slowdown, but it's still not optimal for a rookie end-user. [editline]11:30AM[/editline] Also Trolling =/= honest opinion
what is it with people stating a fact or opinion and being branded a troll? srsly, wtf.
