Will it handle it ? Or should I buy Oblivion
Its worth it, but Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.
That would probably get like 5 fps on low
Oblivion is a better game anyways.
he is talking about the rockstar complete pack, so you are saying oblivion is better than all of them?
OP wants to run GTAIV on a 256 meg GPU? That's funny.

I ran it with a 2600XT, got 10-20fps on low

Lol...that's pretty shitty.

Oblivion is a better choice anyway.
y0haN, you're dumb.
Thanks, but I think he was referring to the fact it's single channel, and almost all LGA775 DDR/2/3 configurations will let you switch to dual channel.
Get the Rockstar Complete Pack so that you get all the games, especially all the GTA3 games.

Dual channel doesn't make the RAM operate faster.

But it's okay.

I rated you friendly s'all good.
I run it with a E6300 Pentium Dual Core (not the old ones) @ 2.8GHz, 2gb RAM, and a GeForce GTS250 (basically a tad more powerful (plus a rebrand of) the 9800GTx+) with everything on high, except night shadows (medium or off, can't remember) at 30-50fps.

I doubt you'd get that fps in the benchmark run.
If I only had some insane PC so I could run it on maxed graphics, I'd enjoy through all the GTA4 games with so much violence I'd shit myself.

What is the point in lying about something like this? You can't run it at 30-50 FPS, period. Computers with overclocked Q9550s and GTX 480s have trouble running the game at similar settings at that framerate.
I can play GAY TONY quite fine yo
It is DDR2, meaning it's double the mhz.

Basically it's 2x slower than equivalent DDR3 memory. (DDR = Double Data Rate)
smooth yo
