Try the Droid X or Droid 2. Or go with an HTC phone.
I want to know what your reason is for not wanting the iPhone; curious.
Probably because AT&T is terrible and the iPhone is very lacking.
wait for the new windows phones. zune interface is sexeh
If you do not get an iphone, do not get a android phone thats free on contract (They're usually really shitty). Get something worth it
Wait for the epic 4g
droid 2
any galaxy x phone

That must be from may or something..

Also, Nokia N8 got, from the benchmarks of the beta phone, the best GPU around in the smartphone world, and the best camera. The CPU is pretty average though, sadly. Windows 7 Phone Series may or may not be worth waitng for.. From what I've seen, it looks good.
Isn't Saito the one with the best camera?
I thought the iPhone had the best? It's got a great one fo sho'
iPhone and Best should never go together in the same sentence.
Probably because AT&T is terrible and the iPhone is very lacking.
The only place I've had real issues with AT&T network is New York City because of the population density. Besides that, I get a steady 2.5Mbps/1.5Mbps otherwise on 3G. As for the phone, I go no where without it. There's little I can't do on the phone. I own both Android and iPhone system iPhone and I think iPhone more efficient at tasks.

So it has a good camera (which I will not argue, because it does). But there are a LOT more to smartphones than camera quality.
Super AMOLED displays are sexy as hell. I've got a first gen Omnia 2 with just the basic AMOLED screen (non super) and it looks amazing unless you're in direct sunlight. The Super AMOLED fixed that issue though.
AMOLED... is that the one with shitty colour?
amoled is probably the best for cellphone screens.
I hate samsung phones.
Crappy quality and full of useless stuff.
I say HTC EVO 4, HTC desire or HTC HD2.
I've got an HTC Desire, and am loving it!
The Evo would be cool, but its battery life sucks. That's what put me off. That and it's not available in the UK. To be honest, if you don't mind paying more, the iPhone 4 is pretty excellent, although I know everyone will rate me dumb for saying that. Sigh.

In a blender.

Get the N900, loads of gadgets and it kinda beats the iPhone.
[editline]09:12PM[/editline]
And i just saw that camera/video list, the N900 makes way better pictures/videos then the iPhone does. Seriously i'm not lying.
Iphone is stuck on a non customizable O.S.
Go droid, HTC incredible, Droid, X, Etc.
HTC Desire, HTC Legend, Samsung Galaxy S. Nuff said. We don't have Droid and Droid X in Europe :( not even Evo 4G.
I wanted the Evo 4g but it's not out in the UK so I ended up with an iPhone :saddowns:
Nokia N900

Has an actual fucking keyboard you can feel when typing (also touch screen keyboard if you can't be arsed with taking the keyboard out).
Has TV-out
Runs motherfucking Linux (you can run fucking Firefox on it)
Has Flash
Here's an overclocked N900 being fucking amazing:

while having a shitload of programs open in the background
Here's an overclocked N900 being even more fucking amazing (PS1 emulator running THPS4, connected to TV through TV-out, using a SIXAXIS controller connected through bluetooth as the controller)

Why would you want to run firefox on a phone? Wouldn't you rather use a browser with an interface designed to take up as little space as possible?
God, even my Moment is better than an iPhone.
Actually most Android phones are better than iPhones.
In any case, I recommend Android phones. I've had a wicked good experience with one and I'll keep going back.

I laughed when I saw that, don't know why
The bias of this thread is hilarious.
The N900 isn't really that great compared to today's standards.
TV-Out? Droid X, HTC EVO 4G and the Samsung Galaxy S all have that.
Need a keyboard? Buy a Samsung Epic 4G.
Linux? Android IS Linux.
Flash? Android 2.2 has Flash.
Overclocking? Most Android phones can be overclocked.
Firefox? Theres something called Fennec which is a mobile version, designed not to take up half the screen and come with useless crap.
PS1 Emulator? Android has that, with full support for Bluetooth controllers.
Any phone is better than an iPhone, get something from HTC.

Or Droid
