let's No we don't we can just ignore the thread, sounds like a good idea due to the op building a new pc based on a lock up issue that could be fixed for less than 100
John. I've spent alot more than just $100 on fixing this damn thing. It is unfixable. Even the guy that built my computer says "it could be anything". I have no choice but to get a new build.

I don't give a shit what the OP says, I'm doing my best to help him. He had a guy build his computer, he obviously doesn't know a lot about this stuff. I'm trying to tell him that if anything, an ati card would be better in his situation then a nvidia card.
due ati sux wut u doin red teh op
haha he no red op1! darm peopl ned to lern hau to reed poast

Do you run any p2p services? what cpu is it
Are you a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan?
no, i've never played it. Why? Is that from the game?
haha he no red op1! darm peopl ned to lern hau to reed poast
Basically you're saying; me: hey guys im the op kill yourselves do it now guy: no i refuse other guy: stop trolling and kill yourself already, op obviously knows whats best
no, i've never played it. Why? Is that from the game?
Nevermind i had a dejavu from someone else
Oh you have the 9550 Phenom x4 v1 right TLB too easy, could be SP3 It gave me lock ups sometimes but if you have a v1 phenom X4 then it is most likely TLB stepping
what is the problem when does it lock up? what programs are running when it locks up? what OS are you using? why virus protection are you running? Do you run any p2p services? what cpu is it
I've had the problem before, it took me months before deciding to reinstall windows. I don't know what it is, though. Maybe i did, but my issue is where you can login, and then after a min or 2 you can move the mouse, but the windows are frozen..
what is the problem when does it lock up? what programs are running when it locks up? what OS are you using? why virus protection are you running? http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1427683 As for virus protection, I have Avast! Home. It's not a virus, or my hard drives fragmented.
ah, ok thanks. Avast! Home! Sucks. I've used it and its crap. ESET NOD32 is the best, even smart security. You could probably live off trial ke- oh i dont want to get into detail
Hey guys can I have the best possible computer for $1200? But it has to have a Pentium 3 CPU and AM3 mobo cuz i heard they are the best they have really good reviews. $1200. MUST HAVE P3 AND AM3 MOBO.
tlb bug disable cool and quiet in the bios
Wouldn't that cause my CPU to overheat?
No.
Hey guys can I have the best possible computer for $1200? But it has to have a Pentium 3 CPU and AM3 mobo cuz i heard they are the best they have really good reviews. $1200. MUST HAVE P3 AND AM3 MOBO.
Go away Seriously, are you people here smart enough to read all the posts? and are they That Immature that they be an asshole because they can't accept that somebody else prefers x vs y , instead of helping the OP? Excluding most people, here hehe.
GTS 250 is okay for Crysis. I have a 9800 GTX+, which is basically the same thing a GTS 250, and I run Crysis on high at 1280x1024 (I get an average of 45 FPS, which is actually pretty good)
Hey, instead of helping the OP, i'm going to be an asshole! I'm going to go and beg the OP to get x instead of y! I dont care what he says! He's stupid, and im so immature i can't accept that he likes this brand instead of that one, so i go and try to be as much of an ass as i can. - that's what you guys sound like in this thread (the excluding some :D) yeah GTS 250 is ok for crysis, its a good idea.
Make sure you're getting the 1GB version if you're getting a GTS 250.
Make sure you're getting the 1GB version if you're getting a GTS 250.
well.. he likes low res stuff... Regardless, the 1GB is a better investment. [editline]05:55AM[/editline]
One of the best free ones, however.
Go away faggot Jk But, yeah its the best free one. Microsoft's New Free anti virus is like government health care .__.
You have a stepping issue it is easy to fix you either A) get a new CPU B) see if disabling cool n' quiet will fix the stepping
Avast is good I use it on my lappy, Which government health care cause if you are talking bout Australia you are surely correct!
Thanks for the video card recommendation. That's all I wanted. But what about the rest of the new build? Or do I just settle with this;
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021 - Antec 900 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184 - 4GB Corsair DDR2 RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128358 - GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037 - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136098 - WD 320GB HDD (sata)

You have a stepping issue it is easy to fix you either A) get a new CPU B) see if disabling cool n' quiet will fix the stepping
I just wanna know if turning off the Cool N' Quiet will cause my CPU to overheat. If not, I'll try it.
Avast is good I use it on my lappy, Which government health care cause if you are talking bout Australia you are surely correct!
that, and Canada.. anyway, im done for tonight cheers
