I just said $700 cuz that was OPs budget and he only wanted to run crysis on medium
Oh, :frown:
Good god, what happened to my thread? All I asked was for build help, and it's full of two pages of; "NVIDIA sux! Get ATi!" "NO! Get Nvidia!" Did I ask to be criticized that I have had an Nvidia card ever since I had a FX 5200? I don't really consider myself a fanboy, but everyone I have talked to prefers nvidia. Even the guy that built my system said to stay away from ATi cards. I don't even know if you guys are talking about my thread anymore. PrismatexV3 is talking about the guy that has been defending me. Nothing about this thread. ?
because you acted like an idiot in the OP [editline]12:57AM[/editline]
I have decided to just post here, since obiously I'm just going to get ridiculed for liking nvidia. http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1433873 It was October 2008 when I got my new hardware upgrade.
hahaha wow even they recomended ATi see a consistency here? the reason your thread went to shit is because you acted like a moron [editline]12:59AM[/editline]
Guys. Listen up! This shit's gotta stop. It's turning into a flame war. I've been thinking. You guys claim ATi is better, right? That I'm a fool for not caring that an ATi 4870 could whip the ass of a GTS 250. Maybe I am. Since the video card is causing so much hostility over these two rival retailers, how about we just "throw it away" and focus on the rest of the build? Once the time comes when I get up that much cash, then I will make my decision. If ATi is still better by the time I get the money, then I guess I'll settle with ATi. But if Nvidia comes back and better than ever, I'll definitely go with Nvidia. Alright? Can we all agree on that? Maybe this GPU madness can finally stop.
it isn;t the gpu that is the problem it is the fact you are ignoring benchmarks for a label that costs .02 cent
do you want to fuck the nvidia mermaid? do you think that purchasing overpriced graphics cards is going to get you one step closer to that dream?
Sure, but I thought he might be better off just getting DDR3.
Tripple channel DDR3 does not work with AMD CPUs, it's a core i7 thing.

Nothing about this thread. Now. Will you kindly, please, get back to helping me out, so I'll have a base to save up on?
For price/performance ratio, ATI unanimously wins. A $150 4870 can outperform any Nvidia card within the price range. So if you want to save cash without killing your performance go for ATI. By the way I'm neutral towards both companies, so don't start thinking I'm just another fanboy.
Then get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231193 Here are some benchmarks, look at them and tell us which is the better card.
