DLPs are horrible
no they aren't are you stupid or something
Or a yellow spectrum RGBY
Except sharp aquos do look fuckin amazing and most of them have integrated blu-ray players. [editline]10:48PM[/editline] And yes, the difference is noticeable.
no they aren't are you stupid or something
Apparently, you are. [editline]12:16AM[/editline] It's called an opinion. Live with it
no need to be such an infant, and it's a flawed opinion because LCD and plasma look terrible at higher sizes because they just look blockier and blockier projection does not have that kind of a problem [editline]12:58AM[/editline] honestly and realistically the only reason to go with DLP is because of size, and at the particular size where you should consider DLP, LCD and Plasma look terrible by comparison
And guess what? I don't need a TV of that size, and from what I have personally seen, LCDs tend to have crispier images when comparing to projection. Plus, LCD screens can be viewed from all angles opposing to having to suffer from the rainbow effect for certain viewers. [editline]01:15AM[/editline] Not to mention that LCD TVs are A LOT thinner than DLP TVs
I've always associated LG with decent quality, and that is from hands on experience. I've got 3 LG monitors and an LG HDTV and an LG Blu-ray drive in my PC. I was greatly put off their phones though, my Viewty was slow and frustrating to use. Had no fault with any of them though. And in the case of the LG HDTV they were nice enough to PROPERLY document the serial control protocol in great detail! - I will probably end up buying a standalone LG blu-ray player too as the HTPC route has proven to be a bit of a software minefield, good for ripping bad for playing. Your experiences sound like they haven't been so great however.
In my experiences, LG is a great manufacturer and a great supplier for other companies' products, but their own complete products are subpar at best.
Are plasmas DLP... ?

Again preferences I guess but really it'd be cheaper to go with DLP, though they still suffer from overscan even if not that bad. LCD does have the benefit of perfect geometry.
Jesus christ no. Lcd every fucking time.
You didn't need to bump the thread with this overmentioned statement; not to mention the sale was over long ago.
No dont. -720 P would look horiffic ont hat seize. -All the cheaper plasma tv's are horrible at displaying black (looks grey) -And its just 50 Hertz Plasma tv's have a little trick with the backlights that allows them to put 600 Hertz on the specs while it still just looks like 50. -The sound in all the Samsung tv's is horrible. Dont get me wrong, I really like samsung. Their led series are the best in the world (B6000,7000 and C 6000, 7000) But the only brand that has a cheapass plasma that looks good is panasonic. I know my shit cause ive been selling tv's for the last 4 years (part-time).
