Is there some kind of Cydia tweak that lets me access all of the files I have on my iPhone through windows explorer?
My troublesome iPod touch finally bit the dust, it turned off over and over again until one time it refused to turn on
RIP "Steve" you will be missed
it has since been replaced with a 30gb iPod video named "Big Steve"
So I'm considering selling my Mac Mini. Now, there's not a whole lot on the machine itself that needs to be taken care of. De-authorize my iTunes account, wipe the drive and done. The issue is the fact that there's backups of it on our Time Capsule. Any way to manually delete them?

I'd just grab a recovery disc and reinstall the OS, IMHO.

Im assuming you are already jailbroken
Use ifile (found in cydia) to view files in the phone
use ifunbox on windows to do the same (need afc2add enabled from cydia)

iFunbox just says no devices are connected, even after installing afc2add.
the new mac pro is even more hideous in real life, what's going on apple?
very related

i feel like this might be one of those things that could change to be for the better over time, but i'm really not seeing it right now
Mom and dad went into town to nearby Mediamarkt, standing at the Apple section, down by the iPads and my dad said 'pick one'.
So now my mom's replaced her gen 1 iPad with a shiny new iPad Air and yes, I am a little jelly.

First of all, BluRay and DVD are basically dead (two drives, what's with that?). I'm assuming that you wouldn't be plugging things in all the time, just take the one you need, then throw it back in the drawer. In larger production houses, you can basically forget all the hard drives too, they are all located in racks.
They show the 2012 MacPro as a box with no hanging wires, but in reality, this is very false. They have the same amount of shit going up onto the desk as pictured on the right.

I'm not quite sure how you can find a black metal cylinder hideous. :v: I'm not saying it's not boring, but come on! That's like calling a piece of paper hideous. There's practically nothing there to hate.
It is a shame about all those peripherals, though.

it's exaggerated, but it puts through the point that there's no room for expansion at all in a machine that really should, for the price and usual purposes. sure it's small, but any portability is kind of thrown out the window considering it's a bloody cylinder

it looks like a bin or something i'd pour hot water in to make coffee. it's just unusual to see cylindrical computers because everything else is designed with the fact that most things are rectangular in that sense

it's weird for sure. it would make more sense if we lived in round houses and had more round things because seeing as putting this mac pro in the corner would leave a bit of wasted space we're just not quite cut out for this fancy space computer. it's for that same reason it bugs the hell out of me when people put furniture in a corner and turn it in. anyway...
please don't yell at me for this, but i thought the whole point was for it to be both highly expandable and highly portable in that you could easily install periphery devices like graphics cards and hard drives using thunderbolt 2, and if you really needed to take it somewhere, you would detach all that stuff and still have a very formidable computer that practically fits in your pocket? of course i have no use or need for hardware like this so i'm not sure how that concept jives with real world use, but it at least makes sense to me.

Dunno where you got that price

I presume he just optioned in all the other bundled products as well - I'd suppose a standard Thunderbolt Monitor, a 4K broadcast monitor, and a RAID array backing it all up should seem like a plausible layout for editing; but *surely* the extra Time Capsule's simply going to give up and go home for its capacity.
Tsk-tsk for leading with the cut screenshot, though.
It's a fucking tiny supercomputer. It's like as big as your thigh and probably outperforms your current PC in a lot of ways (not gaming, of course.) What's not to like about it?
if i'm shopping around for workstations the last thing i care about is size. when it comes to apple, smaller means less expansion capability, which is the priority in my case.
what else is there to like?
It's expandable, what are you talking about? You buy the device, shit plugs into the device. That's how they want it to work, and that's how it's been working for the longest time.
that's also not how i personally think it should work. i'm allowed to think that way, you know?
i prefer a workstation that can be picked up and moved without needing to move my external accessories with me. there are advantages and disadvantages to both systems and i think the advantages of the new design are outweighed by the disadvantages.
in the end it all comes down to your workflow, but i can't see many people being a huge fan of the new design, at least coming from being used to the standard of internal expansion rather than external ones
You want a laptop. Most workstations sit in one place for their entire lifetime.
modern laptops are integrated machines that aren't really designed to be upgraded incrementally at all. (as apple and many other ultrabook manufacturers have kindly proven)
i can pick up and transport my desktops and racks without needing to carry things with me, and those are
Okay, so you're a one in a million use case. The Mac Pro is fine. Quit complaining that it doesn't fit your oddly specific and unrealistic needs.
have you ever really considered that different business models and workflows have different requirements? at least with the old mac pro design you had the option of internal or external expansion, but i really feel like apple are creating something of a divide with their customers.
and my needs are hardly one in a million.

How is that unrealistic?
He can't use a laptop because they aren't as gutsy.

Here's a hint: Apple sells products that cater towards the lowest denominator. Most workstation machines sit under a desk or in a closet for extended periods of time. Guess what? You aren't their target market! Don't buy it!

Congrats, you've figured out that portability comes at a price!

no, not with the mac pro. not even relatively lowest denominator
[editline]22nd December 2013[/editline]
why are you being so sour? people don't agree with you. boo hoo
oh, and i think i'd already be sorted if a laptop was the answer to my portable workstation problem :~)
no, not with the mac pro. not even relatively lowest denominator
And why not? It's a base model machine.
Why are you so set on having all your shit in one machine? Get a hard drive caddy if you have a lot of storage. I'm sure two moderately heavy things are a little easier to handle than one large, heavy unwieldy thing.
i like being able to pick up the one thing and move from one office to another if needs be. carry it using the rather large carrying handles and plop it down, plug in a display and you're set. really useful if you do photoshoots and need that editing power on hand. it's just less hassle
also, there's only so much thunderbolt expansions can do.
I'll concede that point. Apple wants people to use the MacBook Pro's as mobile photoshoot companions.
they're not powerful enough for some. video editing is doable for sure, but definitely not for everyone
I honestly know nothing about the Mac Pro, other than it sounds pretty powerful and costs much more than is reasonable for civilian use.
So, explain to me, clearly and concisely, what's wrong with it. Please... I'd like to understand this argument, if only a little.
