so my friend wants to get an iPhone on Verizon, I'm assuming there are no deals on the 5? I'd doubt Apple would allow this to happen but might as well ask
They don't sell the 5, since the 5C is taking it's role as the 100$ iPhone. It's either 5S, 5C, or 4S
I just got an iPad Mini with Retina Display. It's very nice, although there's a slight blue tint/leakage at the top of the display but I honestly don't feel like returning it over that. But with my history it'll develop some other severe issue that warrants a return so it'll get fixed eventually.
Got iPad Air. It's so nice. What apps do people recommend

That's a really loaded question

The Verge did a few huge lists on their recommended apps yesterday. Check those out, I guess.
I want to buy a mac book pro and I don't know why

Best trackpad all years, best unix all years, best ecosystem all years, best battery life all years
Pros have quite a bit of performance too. I highly recommend them.

Paper, and the Room, two excellent apps.
So the Mac Pro's CPU is removable.
Wasn't expecting that.
o that's pretty neat
Apparently the GPUs are removable too, they are just on a proprietary connector.

DUMB. Although it might not take much time for someone to reverse engineer it, it's just a connecter.

Rumor has it that Apple might be opening it up to manufacturers, or making replacements and upgrades themselves.

But it's apple, they'll be overpriced
So I went to the apple store today to basically use stuff I can't afford and I noticed that final cut pro was rather laggy on a new i5 2.9ghz 8gb ram Mac.
I blame maverick.
Also apple store Internet is fast
apple store macs are usually tinkered with (in a bad way, by customers)
there was probably a ton of stuff running in the background
It's even worse when random girls decide to blast music on a Mac as they leave
i wish ifixit would hurry up and tear apart the mac pro
i wish ifixit would hurry up and tear apart the mac pro
They are probably having their own sweet time and enjoying picking apart each and every part of the mac pro
I'm like so annoyed that macs don't support ntfs, I half blame Microsoft but yeah.

you should be annoyed that microsoft doesn't support better filesystems, not the other way around
though i wish os x had better internal ext 4 support

this one thousand times.
Is the Iphone 4s still a decent phone? I recently lost my Note 2 and my parents are not too happy with me purchasing a 5 for ~250$ May be able to pick up a 4s for around $100 and change, would it be worth it? I really will be just using it for music and texting.

4S is just barely hanging in there, its still a pretty good phone.

I'm mad xp doesn't support exfat and that every other freaking hard drive maker formats to Ntfs so for Mac usage you have to reformat (sometimes it can only go to exfat)
windows XP shouldn't be supported anymore. support has to drop for an archaic outdated system eventually
Lots of offices and schools (like mine) still have xp machines. The entire library runs xp.
My school was on 7 a couple months after release, XP is 10 years old, compatibility issues are going to arise very very soon.
Say goodbye to your library when the support ends
