Sweet, but the keyboard port is still usb 2 eh?
Sweet, but the keyboard port is still usb 2 eh?
Does a keyboard need to be USB 3?
Does a keyboard need to be USB 3?
He means the port on the side of the keyboard is USB2.
Is this a new Maverick thing where when copying a folder, you cannot access the folder being copied if it's being copied onto let's say the desktop? I remember being able to copy an entire folder and access the stuff being copied on the desktop with whatever files were done copying.
Thinking of getting the entrance level 13" macbook pro retina for uni, dat ssd and screen.
do it
Ipod without screen, I like a screen one
do it
Well I did.
Would you guys recommend upgrading to Mavericks from Mountain Lion? The reviews seem rather hit and miss on the app store.
I haven't had any problems with it and love the (badly needed) improvements on multi monitor support.
word on the street is avid media composer is not compatible

Do you have permissions to read/write files? Is anyone else having problems right now with the mac app store? It takes me ages to download updates. Its downloading with like 50 kb/s.
Do you have permissions to read/write files?
yes
Oh my. Just replaced my HDD with a samsung 750GB EVO. Finder is now usable! Definitely a worthy investment.
Anybody know if I can use the Apple Wireless Keyboard in Windows 8.1? I can buy a Bluetooth adapter, I just want to know if it'll actually work.
Anybody know if I can use the Apple Wireless Keyboard in Windows 8.1? I can buy a Bluetooth adapter, I just want to know if it'll actually work.
You can, but I believe some of the buttons are useless and I read somewhere that delete doesn't work properly
You can, but I believe some of the buttons are useless and I read somewhere that delete doesn't work properly
This is why we have AutoHotKey and the Bootcamp drivers. Anyway, thanks.
i got two teeny little scratches on my rmbp :( not even sure if they are scratches, they're seriously miniscule. nor do i know how i would even get it scratched other than maybe a sand grain being stuck on my fibre cloth or something [editline]15th January 2014[/editline] barely noticeable though, i really have to look for them. still sucks [editline]15th January 2014[/editline] i just rearranged my window setup so the borders cover the scratches, lol

I got a scratch in my rmbp screen within the first two weeks... It's tiny, and sometimes I forget about it... but It's sad when I remember it's there considering I spent £2k/$3300 on it :v:
I somehow managed to flatten one of my corners by about a millimeter... Happened in my backpack, too, which is bizarre. I put a case on it after that, the aluminum's too soft to do without.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/l6ZXDq1.jpg[/t] :(
tbh i don't care about external nicks or small scratches as long as they don't affect the capability of the laptop. i have a few tiny little nicks here and there but overall this laptop is pristine other than the screen marks [editline]15th January 2014[/editline]
That's rough, buddy... At least it's not this, though: [T]http://i.imgur.com/F7uPYR9.jpg[/T]
i have something a little bit like that but it looks more like a cnc mishap rather than a scuff maybe it was always there [editline]15th January 2014[/editline] i'll probably end up getting this laptop replaced within it's warranty (+applecare) anyways so it doesn't really affect resale that much
My 2 month old retina mini already has a couple of chips on the edge, even with the case :c [editline]1:11[/editline] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5831868/ipad%20nick%20%3B_%3B.JPG[/t] LIFE RUINED!!!!
Wow... I just realized how "First World Problems" this is... Honestly, if all we've got to complain about is scratches on our laptops, we're doing pretty well.
