If you feel like forgetting the NDA I'm very curious to know what he means.
Edit:
I'm hearing rumblings that OS X 10.10 will wipe all iMessages on the computer. Can't confirm.
I'm forgetful and "Old iMessages stored on your computer are incorrectly deleted when upgrading to OS X v10.10 Developer Preview. Backup your Messages in ~/Library/Messages before upgrading"
I'd imagine Apple checking over the app and making sure it doesn't record or steal the stuff you type and making sure the app is high quality and all that. It's a sensitive app to have on their app store imo.
Well it shouldn't record/steal the stuff you type, except for storing words for prediction etc

Even then, it doesn't leave the device at any time.

Unless you're stupid enough to press the allow network access button for the keyboard.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of those things that's forced on developers. Remember, we're dealing with a much more closed and regulated marketplace here, as opposed to Android.
I hope that if SwiftKey does go to iOS and I do end up switching to an iPhone, I don't have to rebuy it. I can maybe poke the devs, give them by purchase reference number and they will send me a code for the app. SwiftKey was one of the biggest reasons I was sticking with Android, besides the buttload of apps from various sales and promotions, my Play Store credit from Surveys and that Kit Kat contest in Fall 2014, some specific apps that can be replaced with iOS versions, fancy rooting, adblock, custom ROMs and modding, OIS (on Nexus 5) and some other stuff.

Guidelines state that whatever you're doing with the text has be clearly told to the user and that some things such as advertising are banned. But Apple cant be sure what happens server side once it gets the text so you gotta rely on developers not being dicks.
new osx looked like windows vista and ios 8 looked like android
step it up apple
nah

I highly doubt they'll give you the iOS version for free.
It's like any app that you buy on one platform you usually have to rebuy it on another
I got it for 10 cents back on the Android Market 10 Billion downloads sale. That was a great week. Regardless I'll end up just buying it anyways for I guess $4 anyways because the experience and features were so damn good and accurate in the past 2.5 years of using SwiftKey on Android.
Any Facepunchers actually at WWDC? We should meet up, I'll be going to a few more sessions this week
Read the paper this morning, an article about how people are disappointed the iWatch wasn't announced yesterday and Apple's stocks dropped 1.7%.
I swear to fucking Christ, there's no pleasing people.

Wall Street is a weird place... When Apple announces a new product, the stock price drops. When Apple doesn't announce a new product, the stock price drops. When Apple sits around with their thumb up their bum, the stock price rises.
If we listened to Wall Street, Apple should just never do anything. Ever. Yay.

listening to those guys, apple should've released os x on pc, bought sony, disney, and god knows who else.
and of course the stock price would still drop after that.
Apple stocks always drop after WWDC/Special Events. No idea why, they just do.
I would probably ditch Windows in a heartbeat if I could install OSX on my PC without all the tomfoolery surrounding Hackintoshing.
how mad would i be if i installed Yosemite over Mavericks for my daily driver?
how mad would i be if i installed Yosemite over Mavericks for my daily driver?
Are you talking about the current developer build or the public beta? The beta shouldn't be too bad I think but I don't know how bad OSX betas usually are
They already have a note taking app on iOS so I imagine the full keyboard will come soon enough
Just adding to this, it's been officially confirmed

I'm running it right now! It's pretty good, but there are many bugs.

Developer beta? Pretty mad. Public beta? Eh, you should be fine.

I think it happens for almost any tech company announcement since there is always a risk that the announced product could flop. Some people just don't want to deal with this risk
So I watched the WWDC on the Apple website with my brother (which is a "Apple fan", has a MacBook Air and a iPhone 5S) and I'm really impressed with the new OSX, it looks really nice. I've always liked OSX, but what puts me off using them is because of the low support when it comes to gaming. Now I want OSX even more :v:. So I will ask the question: Can Macs be practical when it comes to gaming at times?
depends what kind of gaming you do. indie gaming? most certainly. AAA? not too much support in that regard

why not just dualboot?

Most of the games I play are FPS. Sometimes RPGs but not much because I only ever play the Dark Souls franchise and a little bit of Skyrim.
As for the dual boot option, I've actually never bothered to dual boot my W7 with Hackintosh, but I thought of doing so many times, maybe it should get off my lazy ass and do it (just need the money to get a copy of OSX, but I also thought of getting a MacBook Pro, but that is a completely different option, I don't shit money)
OS X is technically free, as long as you have access to a Mac. you're going to want to dualboot for some of those games

My brother has a MacBook Air. Could you elaborate on what to do? (Btw I have no access to my PC right now so try and not waste your time writing something huge :v:)
update to mavericks on the MBA, go to the appstore and download the mavericks installer and follow typical hackintosh instructions from there
Do you guys think the new OS X would work on a Mid 2011 macbook air?
