5s. I'm literally confirming it in real time by taking screenshots while the phone's camera folder is open on my PC to confirm I'm not crazy. It's so confusing. Could you post the screenshot you get on iOS 8 Beta 2?

Ah, iOS 8 Beta, that would explain it
I'm still running 7.1.1 :v: sorry if you mentioned it earlier I just thought I'd dip in the thread and saw your post

My fault, I didn't even mention in the post that I'm running the beta. It doesn't happen on the notification center itself, just on the widget addition screen which is a layer overlay atop it.
Is there a better podcast app than Apple's? For some reason podcast episodes take up shitloads of space and I can't delete them conventionally.

Apparently Apple doesn't think so because it's now a stock iOS app as of iOS 8 beta 2!

I'll have to grab an iTunes Gift Card when I'm out this Friday, then.
Tried the app on Android and it was wonderful.
Can I open up and clean my rMBP 13's fans without voiding Applecare?

I also like Instacast, because choice is good :v:

It will sync across devices as well (Android and iOS)
Can I open up and clean my rMBP 13's fans without voiding Applecare?
I'm pretty sure that if the dust is causing the MBP to overheat, or be noisy, then Applecare will clean it for you.
Can I open up and clean my rMBP 13's fans without voiding Applecare?
yea as rhx mentioned it's probably better to get it cleaned with applecare. i think it would void warranty regardless
thinkin' about making my dell inspiron n411z into a hackintosh. anyone here have any experience/tips?
Loving my 15" rMBP, couldn't be happier apart from one issue.
Does anyone find that sometimes the touchpad will become unresponsive as you move the cursor around? I found it earlier in Premiere Pro and just now typing this reply (in Safari). Imagine moving the cursor and it just stops, so you need to take your finger off and apply movement again.
sounds like a bug, my trackpad movement is always smooth
sounds like a bug, my trackpad movement is always smooth
Take it into Apple and complain? :v: Does your trackpad click easily at the top corners? Mine needs a lot of force, is fine at the middle and needs very little force at the bottom corners.
i can click from 4/5 of the way up. i find it varies from laptop to laptop as a friend of mine has a much stiffer trackpad
it's something you possibly 'break in', though. you will get used to it
[editline]19th June 2014[/editline]
also it may actually be worth taking it to an apple store if it's close, if not make sure you're fully updated and google around for anyone with a similar problem

I'll see how I get on, fully updated on mavericks.
I'll be taking it to Apple sometime next week for them to run a diagnostic, just so I know the guy hasn't spilled water or something on it and the warranty is valid.
I can't click the top of my track pad at all. It starts clicking at about 4/5 the way down, same as .Lain's.
i mean the opposite
i mean the opposite
Wait, you can't click the bottom of your trackpad?
...no
i mean i can click on almost all of my trackpad other than at the top
...no

Oh.
Then yeah, mine's the same way.
I think it's designed to be like that. Pretty sure it's on a hinge type of thing at the top. You can always enable tap to click in the trackpad preferences.
I opened it up and there was actually almost no dust at all. Surprising since I've had my laptop on 15+ hours a day since August. Here's a pre-dusting photo:

I find that my fans only spin up when the gpu is used heavily, as in flash/html5 video. Otherwise they never spin even if I peg all of my cores. I'll just stick to opening videos in vlc I guess.
Has anyone heard of a solution to the SMC/Sleep Wake failure on rMBPs running 10.9.3?
Man this is the second time iTunes has updated and just deleted everything from it. Going to have to readd songs and shit now tut
Hello Mac General, I came across a free iMac G3 tower. I brought it home and it runs flawlessly and looks great on the inside. It has a PowerPC CPU @ 350MHz and 320MBs of RAM.
How much is it worth? I know there is plenty of retro PC collectors in my state.

I've seen them go for $10, it's not really "retro". I've heard they can be made into cool fish tanks though.
