Some "Mac ram" is actually cheaper than their "PC ram" counterparts.
Then I'll wait gosh then. If they do increase the price I'll just hunt it down on eBay for a cheaper price and buy a SuperDrive with it instead of shoving this current pc in the closet to be an Optical Drive.

If it doesn't refresh this WWDC, I'm not going to wait longer.
It would be more than likely it'll see a refresh by then because they'll be upgrading to Haswell, which would be worth the wait.
It'll be 2 months, I can live. When it ships I'll just go to the Apple Store and just snag that shit up.

You're eleven, I'd suggest you hold off on the swearing until you're at least out of Elementary.
I like how the Sapphire 7950 Mac edition has a $180 markup just because it's ~Mac compatible~

That magical Mac/PC switch totally warrants a price increase while people running "normal" 7950s have no issue with dual booting.

I also like how it come's with PC games :v:
Any hackintosh aficionados able to tell me if my laptop is able to run OSX10.6 or higher?
That hardware could easily support 10.7 Lion IMHO (ICH9R is pretty widely supported as far as Hackintoshes go, but you're limited to a 32-bit OS so Mountain Lion is out of the question), but the RAM is definitely a bottleneck there. I'd recommend only installing Snow Leopard, otherwise it'll be too choppy for it to be nice - unless you want to grab this RAM kit which match the specs of the RAM you've posted. After further searching though, apparently you can get away with installing Lion though if you really want.
General use will be fine in OSX, but using CoreAnimation (Cover Flow, Stacks Opacity/Animation, Spaces, etc) may be a bit choppy due to that printout you posted not having any decent information on your inbuilt graphics card.
I'd say he should try it with lion and see if it works. If not he can always uninstall and go back to snow leopard.
Current computer is on last legs, and afraid they might increase the price. I'm 11 so just working a little more isn't an option.
You are "11" now, you apparently joined steam when you are 8.5 years old :pwn:

Depends on who's paying for it. If money isn't a concern, then I'd agree.

Well I have a snow leopard cd available to me now so that would be the easier option. But its good to know i am able to upgrade to Lion if wanted

I mainly played Portal and when I played TF2 I didn't have a Mic. I still had remotely good grammar, Capitalization, spelling, I just had trouble with a few things. I didn't know the circumstances of "you're" so I didn't use it. People would laugh when I typed "Your stupid" :v:
Oh btw, after a while. My charger gave it's last... Or well, my classmates provoked it by messing around..

Bought a new one and secured it with straps at the ends... Saw someone did it, looks stable now too!

Looks like it'll work fine, just without CoreImage/Animation unless you manage to find the right Kexts for it.
Basically, it'll take a bit of work to get the graphics card working correctly but otherwise you shouldn't have any major issues getting it working with 10.6

Sorry but really, it took 10 seconds to find. But then again, I already heard of the mechanism.
FYI I just wrote "reinstall lion"
Not sure if its legal (not that i care but more before i get banned, PM me if it is) but can you run OSX through virtual box or through a dual boot? I remember trying it before but it did not worked out so great and it was a few years ago

Legal greyzone, really.

Would recommend grabbing a copy of the full version of Clean My Mac and let it go over your system. It's mostly old cache shit that slows down OSX and using this app is much easier than reinstalling the OS. I use it on my 2010" MBP and it still runs flawlessly, speed wise.
If you do want to go down the reinstall route, you'll have to have the computer out of commission for a few hours while it redownloads the latest copy of Lion/Mountain Lion depending on what's installed. You can follow this article on how to Erase and Install.

Legal if you have an /actual/ disc. If you pirate it, it's not because of copyright shit yada yada yada. It violates Apple's EULA, which, isn't a legally enforceable document. Basically, if you make a Hackintosh, they won't support it which was super obvious in the first place. You also need a 3rd party kernal like iPC.
I don't think you need a custom kernel if your installation of VBox supports VT-x, though.
If I jailbreak will I lose all of my music and shit?
I only care about the music, not so much the apps and contacts and whatever
iPod touch 3g running 5.1.1

If you jailbreak it the only thing that will change is that you get Cydia access (simple said)
You won't lose anything, jailbreaking even allows you to add music to your library directly from your iPhone using youtube or by downloading MP3's from the web

Alright, thanks! I'll just wait till I can use my girlfriends PC, I've never been able to jailbreak any device using my computer :v:

Fuck it, I tried it again but this time with the iPod unlocked (using absinthe) and it's worked
woohoo, what should I get? I already got NCsettings and musicbox
[editline]18th April 2013[/editline]
Are there any music players that are jailbreak only? I can't use the original one and I've yet to settle on one that works properly
