Yeah I agree they're not as smooth as competitors, but that's the price you pay for varied companies using android, hell my dads car radio uses android [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] Shit this shouldn't be page king, alright i'll steer back to the topic with a question Can anybody tell me the best sounding iPod? like just purely the best?
From what I hear the 5th gen iPod has the best sound overall.
From what I hear the 5th gen iPod has the best sound overall.
Like hear with your own ears? or hear with reviews I've got a 3g iPod touch and it sounds muddy and dull compared to my friends 4g
My touch 4g sounds okay.
Like hear with your own ears? or hear with reviews I've got a 3g iPod touch and it sounds muddy and dull compared to my friends 4g
My own ears. I've had the first right up to the sixth, the 5 sounds the most clear the 6 is hard to listen to for longer periods of time, tends to have an annoying tone to it.

I want to download an app before it fucked up (it's a free app) Or hell, if it's possible to rip the music player from iOS4 so I can install it on iOS5 Just something to make this iPod play music properly before I rip my hair out
If you're an audiophile, you're going to have a tough time finding a decent PMP that meets your criteria.
I like my Clip+ a lot just wish I could use spotify with it, i just use my nexus these days because of that
If you're an audiophile, you're going to have a tough time finding a decent PMP that meets your criteria.
I'm not an audiophile I never want to be, those poor bastards I just want to find an iPod that doesn't have problems my nano is only 2gb and, yeah, my iPod classic was so quiet because it was European version (and sounded pretty bad as a result) and my iPod touch's default music player App has distortion
I like my iPhone. It plays music when I want it to, and it sounds reasonably decent for my purposes. Also, it's one less thing I have to carry around with me.
Help, please I have a jailbroken iPhone 4S on 6.1, want to restore and upgrade to 6.1.2. Keep getting Error 3192. Everywhere I go the solution I see is to edit a system32/drivers/etc "hosts" file and remove a line. I go into that file, that line isn't there. I can't do shit. How do I fix this.
You can't upgrade to 6.1.2, as it's no longer a build that's being signed - Apple will only allow you to upgrade to 6.1.3 which can not be jailbroken on your device at this time. If you had an A4 based device (iPhone 4 for example) and had your SHSH/APTickets saved for 6.1.2, you could upgrade to it as you'd be able to "fake the signing process" but since your device isn't vulnerable to the exploit needed to make it work (Limera1n bootrom exploit) then it simply can't be done. Even I can't upgrade my 6.1 iPhone 4 to 6.1.2 because despite Cydia saving my SHSH for 6.1.2, Saurik messed up by not having Cydia save all the same information that tools like TinyUmbrella & iFaith do.

And to sum up what wally3k said, for now your iphone 4S iOS 6-6.1.2 is the firmware that still can be jb'ed untethered, you will have to wait till 6.2 or iOS 7 for an untethered jb
Holy shit, Xcode is nice. I booted it up last night to get a headstart on some Advanced Programming homework and it's a quality IDE. One of the best autocomplete features I have ever used.
Can somebody (I know kaabi has some high end headphones) listen to the same track on the stock music player, and then on Tuneshell and tell me if there is any difference, I'm going insane here
I would if I didn't have to cough up $5 for Tuneshell.
I would if I didn't have to cough up $5 for Tuneshell.
There is a free ad supported version
Well then, let me know the name of the song. I've got some good Sennheiser earbuds.

iTunes isn't letting me sync some songs for whatever reason, even though the PC is authorized, so I'll use Spotify as a reference if that matters to you at all.

Nevermind, I did have a few songs on my iPhone after all. I'm not sure I hear a difference. The song is 320kbps MP3 straight from Beatport IIRC, so it's not a low quality track either. Maybe the TuneShell's a little more crisp sounding.

It sounds way dull if I touch the EQ at all.
It sounds way dull if I touch the EQ at all.
Yeah it seems to quieter, but if you raise all the bars up a little then they go back to normal volume
I'm /actually/ thinking of going with Magic Trackpad
Has anyone downloaded the updated google search app with google now? I like it, although it can be sluggish like most google apps. I only just got it so I'm not sure if it'll push notifications to the notification centre or if you'll have to check the app.

Sadly I have a HTC Desire and I don't really have space because FB eats 30megabytes. I considered installing Cyanogenmod but I just heard there are some issues regarding data / cellphone

[editline]29th April 2013[/editline] And I don't think Google Search for Android has now unless you run 4.1. That's how it used to be anyway, haven't picked up any of my Android phones in a while. [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/JyEaypP.png[/img_thumb] It's been this way for two hours. Show me the weather or something Google, this check back soon box is no fun.
wat?
Google Now was Jellybean only when it first came out, and the play store still says "Google Now is currently available on Android 4.1, Jelly Bean"(Google Search App for Android=/=Google Now). I don't know if that has changed, but with how it links into the OS on Android I'd imagine it hasn't. I'll go load up Gingerbread on an S2 and see for myself I guess.
