I just find that my iPhone plays music much louder than my PC (with both set a full volume)
Should clarify I meant through earphones/headphones (as in, plugging into my PC/iPhone). Obviously my PC speakers are much louder than my iPhone, if that's what the funnies were about :v:
[QUOTE=Flash_Fire;39812540]So that's my finds, if anybody has this distortion problem, I advise Lagu, well, I'd advise it anyway seeing as it's essentially an upgraded player[/QUOTE]
There is bass boost and bass reduction in the settings app under music, you know?
.

And they both do nothing, one makes it all muddy with distortion and one makes it all tinny with distortion

It's just a fault in the stock music player, youtube is fine, Lagu is fine, music player is distorted

I just tried Lagu on my ipad mini and with sennheiser 448s they sound the same. Could it be a problem with the iPod's media player specifically?

It's just specifically a problem with the iPod touch 3g on iOS5 or above, the default music app has distortion that's very obvious when you listen to some dubstep or something with a kick rythm
[editline]6th March 2013[/editline]
I thought I'd said but now I read my original post I wasn't specific :v:
[editline]6th March 2013[/editline]
Here, I made a video showing what I meant, it's a bit shaky and crappy but hopefully you can hear the distortion

Also I have no clue why it only has right channel audio, but that's not important
Does Google Chrome keep crashing for anyone else after the last update?
[QUOTE=Lord_Schrotty;39823392]Does Google Chrome keep crashing for anyone else after the last update?[/QUOTE]
Yup. It happens on Jailbroken devices. Uninstall it, reinstall it, and during the setup check the box saying to send Google crash data and such.
[editline]6th March 2013[/editline]
I honestly don't see why to use Chrome. Yes the tabs look nicer and it has the bookmark syncing which I can appreciate, but without a jailbroken device with Nitrous it's not near as fluid as Safari. Even when you do have Nitrous, it'll have to re-render parts of pages on my iPad when I zoom in and then zoom out after.
[editline]6th March 2013[/editline]
Has anyone tried the drawing app called paper? I like it. Drawing diagrams for chemistry was annoying to do with what pages offers for shapes. But with this I can just draw stuff easily.

I prefer chrome because omnibar. Having 2 fields for URL and search is silly especially on phone where screen space is crucial.
Yeah I sometimes forget that the search bar is separate on Safari, and I end up typing in something I want to search then realize what I've typed ends up as "this/is/a/search" because the spacebar is replaced with the slash as I'm typing in the address bar...
I've never had a problem with it. I sort of just ignore the address bar unless I'm pasting a URL for whatever reason.
[QUOTE=djjkxbox360;39747176]I just quickly googled iPhone MKV and this came up [URL]https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/imedia-player/id544635606?mt=8[/URL][/QUOTE]
Neat, I'm still using the VLC Player app on my iPod and iPad, even got a backup of the file so I don't lose it :v:
Can anyone tell me what their "other" space size is on their iDevices? Specifically anyone with an iPad Mini? My jailbroken one has 1.96GB of other space taken up. Is that about right?

I think you should upload that file for us.

The one displayed in Cydia?
It's ~1.49GB on my iPhone 5.
I would, but don't you have to authorize it on your computer with my Apple ID? Last time I tried sharing an app between my sister's iPad and mine, it kept asking to log in with her password.
[editline].[/editline]
I think Installous used to let people share files between eachother, I still have that on my iPad too. (Still running 5.1.1)
I'm using mercury browser.
Simple and fluid.

with appsync you can sync all ipa files
[editline]8th March 2013[/editline]
oh it is on cydia.. going to download it there and see if it works on the iPhone 5

I did that before. It deleted 1GB.. Is 1.49GB a lot?
Oh cool. Someone sent me a PDF of a scanned letter and I could still highlight words. That's pretty neat.
Does anyone know of an ios tweak that can mute sound in games that don't give you the option as well as let you listen to music in games that don't let you?
[QUOTE=Lord_Schrotty;39844001]I did that before. It deleted 1GB.. Is 1.49GB a lot?[/QUOTE]
hey i realized i have about 1.5gb of "other" also.
but i got a shitload of cydia stuff
Oh come on :suicide: the Lagu app updated and got it's own messed up distortion
I don't feel like forking out £3 for the only other good music player I can find on the appstore
So I ask you, Apple and Mac Discussion thread, how would I downgrade myself to iOS 4 without losing my music collection on my iPod?
If you don't have iOS 4 blobs saved, you don't downgrade.
[editline]9th March 2013[/editline]
If you do, I'm sure you'd be able to grab it off the iPod with iFunBox or something. You just need to figure out where it's stored on the iPod. I don't remember where.
[editline]9th March 2013[/editline]
Oh man they still do this shit. It's User > Media > iTunes_Control > Music but all the music files synced with iTunes is converted to have some 4 letter file name. It still retains the information like the album and artist, but the file itself is 4 digits. For example, my track Derezzed from the Tron Legacy OST is named FYIX.

I don't, I just bought the iPod on the latest version it's allowed
I'm dissapointed in Apple, I need to downgrade my iPod just to listen to my music properly, I thought they were known for quality
[editline]9th March 2013[/editline]
Yeah, I've found the audio files, seeing as I spent an entire day copying then across and trying to make iTunes read it as a library, but no luck
I guess I'll just wait for an update, or spend the evening trying to find a non fugly, ad ridden music player that's free
Something something forced obsolescence?
The 3G is pretty dated anyway
[QUOTE=Protocol7;39858181]The 3G is pretty dated anyway[/QUOTE]
That's no reason for it to have software problems
[editline]9th March 2013[/editline]
I dunno I only payed £50 for it and it's 32gb so I'm really happy, everything else works perfectly but all I can hear is this stupid distortion :suicide:
[editline]9th March 2013[/editline]
I'm about to launch this thing out the window unless I can find a solution
maybe there's a reason it was cheap and it wasn't the lock button
[QUOTE=Protocol7;39859312]maybe there's a reason it was cheap and it wasn't the lock button[/QUOTE]
He wouldn't do that, I've known him since I was 10, he dropped the price down purely because I'm a friend buying it, the money is helping him towards a nexus 4 to upgrade from his dumbphone
I've said it before, it had no distortion before iOS5 (I should know I borrowed it) then when it was finally updated recently to sell it to me, everything with bass sounds horrible and distorted
