I thought we talked about this. You're eleven. You shouldn't even know what that word means yet...
is mystlight really fucking 11? that... explains a lot actually [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] jesus christ, you were born in 2001/2 makes me feel old [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] you never saw 9/11
November 5th, 2001.
I'd say so. When I was eleven, none of my friends in middle school were like this... When you're eleven, you should be outside on a scooter or something, not sitting on your bum talking with people 8-15 years older than you on the internet.
Honestly I think that too much TV/internet/instant gratification during childhood damages them, if I have a kid I'm rationing his tv/PC/phone use and encouraging him to read and play outside. [editline]8th May 2013[/editline]
November 5th, 2001.
jesus christ you've got your whole life ahead of you, get off this forum while you still can and play in the sun it's too late for me, I'm 18 and close to death but you've still got a chance (tbf I did register here when I was 12 and I don't think I was any better, plus there are way older, way worse posters than you (killuah's in university and he's fucking terrible)) [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] oh my god, I just realized that as long as you've been alive you'll have never seen a new simpsons episode that's not terrible there are PS2s older than you WHERE DID MY CHILDHOOD GO
Okay guys, every H&S thread is becoming - TALK ABOUT MYSTLIGHT AND HIS AGE. And as much as I agree upon the fact with going outside, I'm sad to say that this generation requires parents to be more influent about what goes into children at which age. He's not magically wandering outside playing some game with his friends. Can we go back to talking like we use to?
uh My MacBook makes a weird squealing sound?
uh My MacBook makes a weird squealing sound?
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3854169?start=0&tstart=0 maybe this thread could help ya
Nope, it has a SSD so it's not a hard drive issue and the fan was just replaced. It did it before and after the fan replacement. [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] Actually, that guys battery theory may be right, when I use the touch pad the sound changes as I put pressure on it. hmm But I'm not really bothered, I had it since the Unibody MacBook launcheds and it's lasted a good 5 years.

One guy says he was confused by the ML mail sounds. And another is giving the blame to grounding.
Most of the thread doesn't apply since they're talking about a 2011 model while I have a 2008. I've taken it to a local Apple Store and they couldn't find a source of it, so they suggested getting a new one but buying a new one is just pointless/not affordable for me at the moment.
could be squealing capacitors or coil whine but I've only experienced that on bog standard craptops maybe it's a sign of age?
It's probably coil whine. [editline]8th May 2013[/editline]
November 5th, 2001.
Jesus, my PS2 is older than you. I feel like an old man now, i'm 19 this year.
Is there a way for me to export Keynote files from my iPad to Powerpoint and not have the transitions and formatting be utterly and completely ruined? I'm glad I'll be buying a Haswell rMBP because if there's one thing I wish my PC could do it would be open files I make on my iPad without issues. I'd blame it on Apple for being proprietary, but Powerpoint is such trash compared to even the cut down Keynote for iOS that people should be using Keynote. It doesn't even have an easily identifiable play button.
could be squealing capacitors or coil whine but I've only experienced that on bog standard craptops maybe it's a sign of age?
Probably, after 5 years of being used everyday the batter gave out over a month ago and so did the original hard drive. For $100 I replaced the battery and used one of my spare SSDs. I plan on using it until it's just completely stops working. So I guess my MacBook and crappy Z68 Gigabyte motherboard can be coil whine buddies... yayyy
And what about the iPad 4? Is it worth getting one now, or should I wait for the next thinner lighter GIZMO display models??
And what about the iPad 4? Is it worth getting one now, or should I wait for the next thinner lighter GIZMO display models??
What is a GIZMO display? I personally think the full sized iPad is too heavy to carry around constantly, which is what I need to do with my tablet. If I were to buy a full sized one I'd want to wait for one with smaller bezel and a thinner lighter body. Even then, I'd only buy it for the hardware. If apple made a mini with the latest SoC and a retina display I'd choose it over the full sized one even if they basically costed the same.
Yeah I'm not a fan of the portability or lack thereof on 10 inch tablets. My vote is to wait for a new mini, you might not like it right off the bat but the size of the current gen is damn near perfect. I can hold the thing in one hand securely and it's still large enough for Netflix use and general browsing.
I had Apple replace my third faulty iPad 2 with an iPad Mini and I find I'm using it a heck of a lot more now just due to the increased portability. Retina doesn't bother me so much, unless it's my phone.

How did ya manage it? Were they out of iPad 2s?
Is there any way to remove this god damn DRM from itunes music? I already tried burning to a disc but that didn't seem to work.
Is there any way to remove this god damn DRM from itunes music? I already tried burning to a disc but that didn't seem to work.
New iTunes music doesn't have DRM, and you can upgrade all your old music you bought through iTunes to new, DRM-free versions through iTunes Match. It's $25, and there's a link in the iTunes store.
Wasn't there a time where you could drag songs out of iTunes to make a copy on your desktop
preferences, import as mp3 from cd find the track, right click, convert to MP3 done.
Wasn't there a time where you could drag songs out of iTunes to make a copy on your desktop
I remember being able to drag music from my iPod to my PC. But this was more than 10 years ago...
I remember being able to drag music from my iPod to my PC. But this was more than 10 years ago...
You actually used one of the first versions of iTunes? I thought they sucked. I always used WinAmp up until recently. [sp]Oh wait, not sure if you used Mac[/sp]
Nope didn't have a mac back then. I don't know I liked iTunes it always worked for me.
It's not that it doesn't work, its just SLOW as balls.
It's not that it doesn't work, its just SLOW as balls.
iTunes? [sp]Also, pretty ironic that you're running firefox :v: - crashes too often[/sp]
