Is it bad my only working Mac is an iBook G4, and I used it until it fell and the screen broke.
word on the street is that local cell companies (Such as U.S. Cellular) will start getting iphones later in 2013

Apple has been making EvDO iPhones for a while. The only previous limitation has been the smaller carriers doing what Apple asks, and promising you'll keep ordering iPhones no matter what.
I love activator
I have a short home button hold set to play/pause music, and holding volume up will skip forward a track
Means I don't have to blind myself while I listen to music in bed

Yes I know these exist, but I don't use any headphones/earphones with them

Hence I'm using activator
So I tossed a new SSD in my 15" 2009 MacBook Pro and I can't boot from the DVD. I held down the "c" key to boot and nothing happens, just shows the folder with the question mark flashing. I have even tried to reset the PRAM, but for some reason I can't.
What am I doing wrong?
Try holding Option so the boot menu comes up and force it to boot from DVD.

When I do that all I get is a cursor, no options.
That's weird, it should bring up a menu of sorts. You sure the DVD drive and the SSD both work?

Yeah tested the SSD on my desktop and it's golden, and the DVD drive hasn't had any problems before.
I had the same issue when I put a SSD in my 13" 2008 MacBook.
I had to install the OS via USB to get it to work.
Alright I got OSX to install finally, hopefully no more hiccups.

My MacBook had some freezes where I had to press on my trackpad sometimes to get it to start writing stuff again. Apparantly it's because PS2 forces it to clear up RAM. I bought more RAM (8gb from 2gb) and it runs great now.
(Just in case it still happens)
So my ipod touch 2g went through the wash. Rice method didn't work, seems dead (though it warms up when plugged in... so the battery still works).
Thinking about getting a new one. Do I get 4g 32gb or 5g 32gb? Extra $50
I'd get the 5 if the difference is that small
Fifth gen. The fourth gen is basically unusable and Apple should feel ashamed for continuing to sell it. The back will be scratched to hell after a few days, it stutters and slows down, apps crash, and I could go on and on. Where as the fifth gen is amazingly fast and smooth, runs Apple's most common mobile SoC so apps all work great, and has an infinitely better display, plus a build that feels good and is durable.
I never understood why they sold those stupid shiny metal backs, surely with the first release of it they realized it scratched as soon as you breathe on it
My 2G is actually in nearly impeccable condition. But then it's a 2G so it's really a paperweight.
I plugged a second monitor into my Mac mini. I can't imagine not having just 1 screen anymore

I remember when the first LCD came out, and I thought because I was rocking two CRT's that I was the cool kid.
Probably why my eyes are permanently bloodshot.

I'd much prefer a 2g than my 3G
For one it has longer battery life, and doesn't have the audio clipping problem
Not bothered about iOS versions, seeing as I have an android phone for my app needs

I've been using a CRT monitor for like 9 years and I still have perfect 20/10 vision :v:
You can't hear the whine when you get older, so using CRT monitors are worth it in every possible way except power usage and size
I'm 18 with hearing damage and can still hear the whine.
Generally varies from monitor to monitor, lower quality ones have really bad FBT whine
Every CRT i've been around has had it, varying loads, mostly nearly unnoticeable, but still there.
I wish Google would make more iOS apps, I'd like to try Google Music All Access without having to use a webapp

Being on the go in and around Portland and Seattle is a dream now with this 10 second boot time. I really should have tossed a SSD in this earlier.
SSDs are the best performance improvements you can get since basically SB i5s

I know, I have been using SSD's in my Desktops for the past few years. I just never really thought of putting one in my travel setup until recently.
